See, this is what I mean. Throughout the world there are cultures who believe that it is, natural, normal, and legal. You're imposing your own frame of cultural reference on a natural physical process which has no concept of law or morality. We can't just wave a wand and make puberty start the day of legal consent nor can we prevent sexual attraction.

Well since you want to keep harping on me rather than the topic I'll say in response that I find your way of thinking myopic and narrow.

He was found innocent of all charges whether one concurs with that decision or not.

There is always a perspective that Michael Jackson might have suffered from lupus for many years, but still with the surgeries he had, many close friends or whatever were surprised he ever lived to be 50 years old, due to his plastic surgery obsession. Elvis died in his early 40s.

I recall a psychiatrist assigned to the Jackson case a few years ago found him to not fit the profile whatsoever of that of a sex offender or pedophile, rather that of a regressed 10 year old. When you take into account his past, and his behavior over the years this may actually be quite obvious to the non bigot. In fact, there is absolutely zero evidence of him being a pedophile yet plenty of evidence of him being a regressed 10 year old with the financial capability to maintain it. And plenty of evidence that his accusers were complete frauds and coaxed by frauds.

You're smart enough to know that Mjs lawyers would not have coughed up such an outrageous sum to prevent it going to court unless they clearly felt he could be found guilty. If the evidence was not strong then they could have gone to court, discredited the accusers and cleared his name. These are not low rent lawyers! But they were clearly scared shitless. Of what? The police were certainly frustrated by what happened. Which is probably why they leaked confidential info about the penis markings and continued to search his properties. They wanted him nailed because they knew the evidence was there if it had gone to court.

I agree totally that MJ has some kind of suspended child mentality. But he is also a mature man with sexual desires and frustrations. All of which is a very dangerous mix. And certainly puts him in pedo territory.

It's obvious to me that folk like you are making all kinds of allowances for him just because of his fame and your worshipping of him. Again, if we were applying all this to a middle aged guy who lives at the end of your street I'm sure you would have a completely different perspective on his behaviour with children. It's just not fucking normal for a guy his age to be playing with children and sharing showers and a bed with them! Or acceptable when he's not even related.

Well considering how much he was worth at the time, 10-20 (alleged) million dollars isn't much just to get someone to shut the fuck up, especially when you take into consideration the damages to his image, as well as his financial and personal standings. Also, when you go to court, regardless of how good your lawyers are or not, you run the risk of losing when it is left up to a jury of your peers, and it was a smart play to not risk going to court, especially considering the way he comes across. Any non low-rent lawyer knows this.

And well, I know it may not be "appropriate", certainly in today's society, but there are plenty of little kids running around who have seen each other naked. Assuming Michael (obviously it seemed) had deep psychological issues with regression I find that it may not be that out of line to imagine that in spending so much time together at some point he was seen naked. And that is if the supposed "evidence" of that is even real. That is kind of besides the point, but doesn't lead one to directly say he is a child molester.

Although in many other society's in Earth's history this alleged behavior was in fact appropriate, although quite disturbing today.

I see no problem with the family taking the money. Chances are Michael would have been found innocent and never have gone to jail.

Proving that the kids family were greedy bastards trying to extort money does not prove that MJ didn't act inappropriately. If the kid was in there as bait then what bait did MJ take exactly? A kid that age can't just fabricate stories and evidence and then stick with it under questioning from top officials.

I think both sides are guilty of bad behaviour in this particular case, frankly.

I personally don't think MJ ever founded true happiness. He lived the life of a hermit, ala Howard Hughes. And people with money are never happy. The saying always goes that money itself is the root of all evil.

I personally think MJ had fewer people he trusted and all he ever had was enablers. Don't forget, MJ did grew up pretty fast for fame, due to Joe Jackson himself beating his kids and shaping them up for fame. While he is not perfect and he had a lot of faults, it all stems to Joe Jackson himself, parading like a devil in disguise. Katherine could have left him, but she stayed by her side till the very end. And that's how most of the Jackson clans are screwed up due to sugery and whatnot.
