MLB Postseason

Yeah! YEAH! Angels win it in the bottom of the 11th with a fabulous double by Jeff Mathis!

HaHa! What a cute guy, too. Interesting trivia: 26-year-old Jeff Mathis' nickname on the team is "The Beav", because his last name (Mathis) is similar to Jerry Mathers from "Leave it to Beaver".

We meet again tomorrow night!

Watching the Dodgers go down to the Phils last night was an epic meltdown, with Manny in the showers, while Broxton blows the save. Jimmy Rollins is nails. Yanks up on Angels 5-0 so far tonight. I think the Yanks have the Angels number this year. Yanks v. Phils would be a great battle.

I AM A LOYAL ANGELS FAN!

We may be down, but we're sure as hell not out!! We're down 1-3 in this series, but I get home and flick on the television and the Angels have scored 4 runs in the FIRST freaking inning!

WOOO HOO!!

The Angels are a personal team. I feel their pain. They're flesh and blood and guys that are not perfect and kind of scrappy, but who are good, solid ballplayers who know how to hustle when the heat is on.

On the other hand, the Yankees are like an impersonal, professional goliath of a team that is held together by celebrity-superstars and cold hard cash. They are practically the abject opposite of "personal". They are so polished and professional, they glisten. They are like those robotic Disney animatron creations.

I love my Angels!

GO ANGELS! We're rooting for ya.

Great summary of the Yankees, I totally agree.

BTW, the link below from the LA Times, gives a god breakdown about what is wrong with the Dodgers and what they need to fix themselves. I especially like what the writer has to say about Manny Ramirez. I never cared for him, I think he's one of those players who buys into his own hype. Speaking about Manny leaving the dugout after his last at bat to go to the showers and get dressed, Joe Torre said "That's just Manny, he means no disrespect". That's BS. When he was a player, Torre would never have done that, nor would anyone else he played with; they would have stayed with the team until the game was over, win or loss.

In the end, Dodgers 'just didn't have what it takes' -- latimes.com

Tonight's game nearly gave me a heart attack. But I know the Yankees will win it in New York!!! Let's go Yankees!!

Woohoo!!! Yanks win!! I do have to say that the Angels gave a hard, good fight. Many close games. Good series. Next up Philly.
