Yep. Guys like this see onlyfans as an easy way to make money but they're not willing to do any of the work necessary to keep their customers around. It's actually a lot of hard work and as you said, if you're not even willing to take some pics or videos on your phone regularly then you're just not going to succeed on the platform.
