Perhaps if you weren't sequestered in your closet and got out more often you would meet some attractive, intelligent gay men. Trust me, as a single, straight woman and proud fag hag I know all to well that there are thousands and thousands of attractive gay men in the Garden State.

Back in the day, I practically lived at the Odyssey and Down the Street in Asbury Park. One of my bestfriends' was a drag queen and often performed at the Odyssey as well as in PTown and some smaller NYC venues. I also frequented the male revues at Gatsby's (a.k.a. Gag-Me's:tongue in south Jersey.

The Odyssey has been closed for over a decade and Down the Street has a new name. I think there is still a club in the lobby of the old Empress Hotel but I'm not sure. Most of my friends and associates from back then either have husbands or were early victims of AIDS. :frown1:

The thing about meeting someone, whether it's just for casual sex or a long term relationship is that you can't sit home expecting them to knock on your door. It just doesn't work that way unless of course you are willing to call an escort service. :tongue::redface:

Try joining a gym, what are your hobbies? Do you ski? There are dozens of ski clubs in New Jersey. You gotta get out and make an effort dude.

That was mostly just a remark, and I actually was living at the Jersey Shore this summer. You're right, being gay, you can't just expect hot gay guys to fall out of the sky. I'll be in Boston soon enough, and up there, i'll be free, and it's more likely to be raining men.

I agree with You Trapped - I've lived in North Jersey my whole life, and I've always found pickins' to be slim here. I tend to have far more luck finding guys when I'm traveling and out of this Godforsaken area.

Yes it is godforsaken territory but its saveing grace is all the FUCKING hot men I slept with while going to school there twenty some years ago. My lease was up and I only had 2 months of school remaining so I stayed at the Perth Amboy YMCA. HOT HOT HOT.
