No gay hate!!!!

I've noticed a couple of things about homophobia:

1) the gayest guy in the group will be the one to make a homophobic remark

2) the guys who hate gay men are the guys no gay guy would ever want to hook up with

3) homophobes turn to total chicken shite when they encounter a gay guy who is willing to get into a fight

You can't stereotype a homophobe as gay or wimpy anymore than you can stereotype a racist as dumb. They are still different people with different mindsets. A person can still be a genius and a racist at the same time infact many of those who started multi billion dollar companies back in the 50's and earlier had some sort of racist idealogy. Nazi scientist and the foundations of NASA come to mind. Just because some people have extreme views on a certain matter doesn't automaticaly discredit them, their abilities, or what they're capable of in other matters.

Actually you can Viking so hate to break your bubble. As far as homophobes being closeted cowards, there have been two studies which proved this. The first one, done by the university of Georgia, confirmed 80% of homophobes got aroused when looking at gay porn. The second study was just released this month.

As far as them being fugly, have you been paying attention to the homophobes in the media? They're all extremely unattractive.

As far as them being dumb, the university if Florida proved the one main factor on how one voted on gay marriage was their education level.

As far as you being 100% straight, I take it you only watch lesbian porn and God knows you have never cum at the sight of another man cumming. There's a reason why its called the money shot.

Btw I didn't see your whimpy comment.

I can assure you every single fucking time I have encountered a guy who thought he was going to make some snide comment about me to his friends I have made it damn clear I was ready to get into it and every single time he has turned into total chicken shite. I ran into this all the time five years ago when I moved from NYC to some redneck town where gay men were hated. I soooo wanted to have an outlet and I wasn't about to go back in some f'n closet. I looked for guys who thought they could get get away with their crap but they always put their tails immediately between their legs.

So, yes, I can assure you EVERY homophobe is a total coward when he comes face to face with a fag who is more than willing and able to get into a fight.

Homophobes just piss me off. If you're going to say it, say the shite to my face but you know they never actually do.

True... Also, homophobes forget...gay men are men, some quite big and know how to fight...even skilled in combat. X Marines and stuff. Pick on the wrong gay man and you could be in for a world of hurt. lol :)

That reminds me.

One of my co-workers is an openly gay man. He is also a 6'0, 200lbs, retired SFOD-D operator (Delta Force).

During a class we were teaching, we had some idiot going about how he desires to "lite up some fag with a .44mag" (his exact words) and other shit of that nature during break. So, my co-worker politely says to the guy "There's a "fag" right in front for you, if you wish to try."

The homophobe turned pale, ran off the range, and didn't come back. Not even for a refund. Gave me a good chuckle.

And about the group that the OP posted. It's nice to see more people either not caring, or looking past a person's sexuality.

More people should care more about a person's character, not some silly shit like who they fancy.

I agree with the feeling behind these words, but have a problem with the semantics underlying the words themselves.

To clarify where I am coming from: I am not stupid enough, or naive enough, or whatever you have to be in order to think (and say) "I don't see color" (or gender, or sexual orientation, or any other difference. Of course I see difference. It's staring me in the face, being all interesting and shit! :biggrin1:

What I'd like people to do is recognize, understand, and appreciate difference. Not "not care" about it or "look past" it. Please accept my apologies, Remington, for appearing to pick on your words, but even though I agree with the obviously welcoming and open-hearted perspective behind that language, I think the wording itself is flawed because it doesn't respect the person as the weird, funny, strange, and yes, queer individual s/he is.

So I guess I want people to recognize, understand, and appreciate difference as well as talk differently about it.

I know about the Georgia study, though I don't recall the 80 cent figure.
Basically, it said that homophobes and self-declared gay men had the same erective response to gay videos. (Even straight men who were not homophobic had some response, I should add.)

I am curious about the second study.
Do you have a link?

All? Or most? Or simply quite a few?
I've known attractive homophobes, and I'm fairly sure most people have.
I get where you're coming from. A lot of homophobes have nutting to worry about, but I think you're going a tad too far.

I hear you, and agree wholeheartedly. No need for the apology.

Just to clarify my choice of words, in my experience, those that do "care" about a person's sexuality, race, or even gender, typically turn those differences into negative qualities and make it into an issue. Compared to types like myself that can recognize & respect the little things that make us different from each other, and not make it into an issue. (Hence "not care/look past")

Still, I agree with you, and I should have used a better choice of words. Didn't mean anything negative by my statement.

I also agree with NCbear. I'm not sure if this is an altered perspective or not, but form my viewpoint it's about embracing each individual. I absorb that as embracing the differences. Finding the common ground between the differences of opinion and finding the ground that is not common. This requires discussion only when one does not care whatsoever about the other person. As such, I believe discussion between the two-parties is always necessary because people should always care for one another. So while I agree with wha you say, I disagree with your choice of wording (not care/look past). In my mind it gives the wrong impression, a negative impression. I'd rather someone have a negative opinion than an apathetic one. That might be personal preference, but when someone has a negative opinion, it allows a different sort of discussion compared to a positive opinion. An apathetic one generally inhibits discussion. As always, there are exceptions, but this is more of a generalized rule of thumb. Just thought I'd add my two cents! :biggrin1:

Will comment all proper like when I am not actively trying to salvage dinner, lol

But yeah, SM, +1 is a shorthand "I agree with this statement".

People will up the number to show how much they agree.

If I really agree I may geek out an put + "over 9,000!!!!!!!"

Lol
