Look, I'm not saying that sex scenes are always necessary, but Nick Jonas playing a gay character in an 18+ rated drama was a significant part of the show's appeal. Not to mention all his other co-stars had plenty of hetero sex scenes and there was a fair amount of nudity. Did he *have* to do nudity or sex scenes? No. But it seems kind of pointed that he didn't. Not even a serious kiss. It suggests to me a degree of discomfort, especially considering the way his arc (and the show) ended.

Can I ask why it is that you think Nick had control over the lack of gay sex with his character? He was just an actor in the series, he didn't write the scripts.

I don't think he had control, I think he had influence. Certainly the writers and showrunners are also to blame.
