Penis head types

Now a further investigation or question I would ask is does circumcision play a part in the shape of the head?
I/M/O, no, it doesn't. There is a view among many pro-cutters that circumcision causes the corona to flare out more. I believe that's an illusion.

Being the activist that I am, I have to mention a botched circumcision could alter the shape, specifically: slice off a piece! That mishap pertains to infant circ's, so, by the time the boy becomes an adult, the statue of limitations have often elapsed and he has no recourse.

Another thread that mentioned the head shape was
http://www.lpsg.org/33872-erect-penis-survey-beta-testing.html

It had simplicity to recommend it. Three types : 1. length and width about the same 2. longer and thinner 3. shorter and fatter.

This survey is of course of erect penis, but I don't think the head changes shape as radically as the rest does on erection. Any ideas ?

The guy I saw in the showers was a very extreme example of 3 - much wider than it was long, and I think that's pretty uncommon, though since then I have seen others fatter than long, but without being much wider than the shaft, as this man was.

Perfect! Looking at the graphic (column A) I would say that head 1 is what I called a "rocket," head 2 is a "arrow/spade," head 3 is a "helmet," head 4 is a "mushroom," and head 5 is a "club." Me likes!

This is my take...
PENIS SHAPE:
PROW: A "prow" is the front part of a ship where it curves up. So I would say that if you have an upward curve or a banana curve, then you would have a prow shaped penis. For this piece, I will call an upward curve a vertical prow. Consequently, if it curves to the left or right, then it could be construed to be a horizontal prow.
STRAIGHT: Self explanatory. If you do not have curvature then you have a straight penis.

GLANS SHAPE:
SLEEK: Glans is similar in size as shaft. There is not a big lip (sulcus) behind the glans.
Helmet/Blunt: Glans is uniform with shaft and ends in a rounded tip. A helmet will have a bit of a lip/sulcus.
Arrow/Spade: Glans is uniform with the shaft and ends in a more point. An arrow/spade will have a bit of a lip/sulcus.
Rocket: Glans is smaller than the shaft and may seem to just be a tapered end of the shaft. There is barely to no lip/sulcus to a rocket.
EXPANDED: Glans is bigger than shaft. There is a large lip (sulcus) behind the glans.
Mushroom/Bottle: Glans is bigger than shaft and ends in a rounded tip. The shaft will taper down near the end, but the glans will be approximately the same size as a shaft section a 1/4th of the way back. Bottles may be slightly boxier than a mushroom.
Club: Glans is bigger than the biggest part of the shaft or considerably bigger than the neck/mucous membrane of the shaft. The width of the glans is wider than the widest part of the shaft when viewing from the side and above.

For comparison, I would say that the penis in the original post by chuckman2 is a Rocket-Arrow. Unabear09 with a Blunt-Helmet. Charles Finn seems like he may have a Mushroom. Yorkie with a Spaded Helmet. Fiker with a Blunt-Helmet (with a frenulum). Westcoastberry with a Mushroom. BigmeatNJ seems like a Mushroom-Bottle mix. And I would say that Slate_australis is a Bottle-Helmet.

LOL, does that make any sense? But then again, what do I know?

So...... can you think of any members off the top of your head with that "flaring coronal ridge" (that's a wonderful term, btw, did you coin that?) that you and I so admire?

I read once there were three basic penis types 1. head bigger than shaft (mushroom),2.head smaller than the shaft,.3.head and shaft same size. ????

It's actually kind of amazing the different types (or shapes I guess you could say) in dick heads. I've seen alot of asians with really flat heads, and then there's the ones that are pointy and looked stretched, then the ones that are looks like they're wearing a helmet... various various...

I'm not sure about that. It probably also depends on the individual too. I have seen flaring rims on big thick heads clearly visible under the skin, but these are probably on men with fairly loose foreskins.

There are also tighter foreskins where you can't really see the shape of the glans under the skin at all, and I don't think that is very common with circumcised men. But that may be because I see many more men with foreskins than circumcised.
