... personally, i don't put up any pics or info that i would be ashamed for anyone i know to see. so this doesn't concern me.

That's the key, and in your case you are perfectly safe in this regard. But in an earlier post (#18) you said, in part:

... anyone ... that sees your profile, had to be on the site themselves to see it so they are just as "wrong" as you would be ...

And that's not altogether true. If any member here ever knew someone who took perverse pleasure in fucking up peoples' lives, or just someone who had a grudge against them, it could be a real problem. That depraved individual could make the connection between the member's salacious images and their actual identity and then present that information to someone whom they knew the LPSG member wouldn't want seeing it. Sure that scenario is no doubt a long shot, but an entirely feasible one nonetheless. So anyone, such as I, who posts pictures that they wouldn't want the whole world to know about has to think long and hard about allowing any concrete connection to their actual identity.

but they would still have to know your lpsg name and the name of the site to get to your profile so either you would have to tell them both pieces of information or they would have to be members themselves and stumble across it.

i guess you just have to decide if you think you're life on LPSG is something you should be judged and punished for in real life. personally i still think you're extrememly paranoid about how many people or "bots" or whatever would be looking for you. are you a president or something? tell you what, i'lll let you know if my life comes crashing down round my ears cause of a couple of tit pics. i wouldn't hold your breath.

No, not a president.
But I am a father, and I do own a business. I do have employees.

I have been thru a divorce, where the litigation went on for years... and when you read of the excess to which some ex's will go to exact retribution, or secure full custody and the large sums of money that go with that...

Like I said... if you know full well that there is nothing you have done online that some member of your community can not use to harm you... then fine...

But understand that everything from being arrested for driving drunk, to applying for a new job, nowadays entails a routine and increasingly extensive internet search.

And we still, mostly, live in a society that has deeply schizophrenic attitudes about sexuality.

ok. i am a mother. i too own a business. i too have employees. but i'm failing to see how getting arrested for drunk driving or an application for a new job could lead to you being found on this site. like i said before, unless someone has your username and this site name (which i'm assuming you haven't got on your CV) or are actual members of this site, you can't be found!
maybe it's because you live in the states but i can assure you that in the UK, if you were to be arrested for drunk driving the police don't have the time, energy or power to do ANY kind of internet search for you let alone an extensive one. the only point i can get onboard with is if you are going through a divorce. i understand that some people can be very vindictive when it comes to that.
here in the UK, your employer can't sack you for having naked pics online coz if that was the case it would only be the seriously religious and uptight who could get work.
i'm supposed to be moving to san diego next year but i think i might look into the laws a bit more closely now. don't think i want my right to privacy invaded like that and i certainly don't want to be held under a microscope for having a profile on here and being a business owner!
land of the free?

Phil said it best at #15 for me.

I say that, and I know better, but I've still given up too much information at times. Even face pics with full body in view. That's what getting horny does to you!

If you really don't care what your family, friends or boss may see then post whatever you like. If you have any reservations about any of the information you post on the internet getting into the hands of someone where it's going to work to your detriment then you need to be careful.

I'm not paranoid, I'm a realist. I know enough about how internet and communications data in the UK is filtered to see a scary future fast approaching. I have a working background in exactly this field.

I presume the security services have more important things to look for than my cock, but the technology is already available for others to join the dots of your online life, should they wish to.

I would like to be fully open with my identity on the internet, but I'm not naive enough to think that the rest of the World is as forgiving of my sexual proclivities as the members of LPSG are.

Unless you signed up to this site using Tor and have used it every time you've been here since then you are not anonymous either. I don't even trust Tor personally, but that's a whole other subject...

Hell yes. Facebook is a goldmine for ex's and stalkers, not to mention identity thieves.

Fuzzy is trying to switch to Google+, which offers far better privacy protection, but not many of Fuzzy's friends are on it... yet. Google+ also only allows those 18 or older. Facebook is full of too many children and this makes Fuzzy's fur ruffle.

Fuzzy is sure that G+'s circles will cause a few conflicts ("Why am I only in your 'Fuzzy's Best Friends' circle and not your 'Fuzzy's Best, Best, Best Friends' circle?"), but at least G+ won't destroy marriages, expedite pedophilia, encourage stalkers, and give employers reason to fire you.

Here is a snippit that Fuzzy found on companies actively -- perhaps illegally -- snooping on potential employees:
DeMello estimates that about 20 percent of companies are secretly scanning online profiles before they interview applicants. What they often find is shocking — including profiles that detail drug use, orgies and illegal behavior.

"They come in all buttoned up, their clothing is meticulous, they spend years building this resume, and this person that's sitting there is almost entirely different than the person posting on these Web sites," says DeMello.

Many employers admit they've even learned how to access profiles students think are "private" — and they're surprised by how many students don't care if everyone knows everything about them (Source).
Is it fraud for a company to ask a sexy personnel employee to friend request you with the sole purpose of finding out private information that you've posted? It seems to push the envelope at the very least.

My point was that if someone who did have LPSG access wanted to make your life miserable they could provide all that information to someone who you wouldn't want to see it.
