Stupid fucking question, just because you make some dumbass reference to having "heard that women don't remember all the guys they have sex with" (?!) does not make it a women's issue. Seriously just because you want to ask prurient questions about women's sex lives does not make your questions Women's Issues.

In addition, there are too many of us who lose our virginity to rape to make "virginity" much of a valid construct for the question, as asked.
I never mentioned abuse, Empathizer did. Her reasons for being annoyed with your question are totally different to mine.
My reason is that it was in the wrong forum.
It amazes me how much bullshit makes it into popular belief. Doesn't common sense EVER kick in?

I guess I just wasn't putting that much consideration or emotion into the original question or how it was phrased. I just took it as a question based in curiousity - so I'm going to answer it that way.
I remember the guy, the date (Oct. 21, 19--), the approximate time and location, as well as the song that was playing on the radio. I also remember it hurting and being messier, quicker, and a lot less fun than I'd expected. Thank goodness I got over all that!

There are all manners of popular ways of expressing concepts that I find weird, unsettling or otherwise unwise :wink: The fact remains that "taking" someone's virginity, though a common enough expression, just seems to suggest coercion and exploitation rather than seduction and consent, at least to me.
I also dislike allusions to gay sex as something painful, humiliating or degrading, like "bend over and grab your ankles", "take it like a man" and "rammed down my throat". When I see it, I usually call that out, too.
Remembering the date seems at least slightly unusual, though the other stuff is all par for the course. I think if we took a poll of LPSG members, more than a few would respond the same way: quick, not-too-pleasant and a general relief at it's (finally) been disposed with. I know that's how I felt.

I remember the date because it was the day after my high school sweetheart's 19th birthday. I think many people have unfortunate first experiences, but mine was great. When I compare it to sex I had subsequently, it doesn't measure up. However, at the time, with nothing for comparison, it was ideal. There was no pain, no blood, very little mess, and it felt really good. We were clumsy and inexperienced, but we laughed, and had a lot of fun with it.

Sorry if someone misread my question. I didnt mean anything about the word "taken" the virginity, English is not my nr1 language so I may write things wrong. Maybe I skould have written: Do you remember the first time you made love?... Girls who have had more than 5-6 lovers maybee dont remember all of the guys and the tention the fondling, but they allways seem too remember the first boy. I certanly remember my first time, it was with a girl who had been around the block even thoug she was only 17. She gave me a bj and swalloved an scared the shit outta me.
