You know I'm actually open to hearing the other side, as you put it, but if even an apologist like you cannot come up with any fictional scenerio in which his actions are justified, then you should probably reconsider your views instead of offering meaningless platitudes.

The thing with Sam is, he's got a lot of holes in his 'story' that he never filled in. Why did he leave his job? And why go abroad? Is his turn to influencer this year due to financial issues? He never bothered to create a fully fledged online personality, so I have trouble seeing how any apology will fit into a redemption arc. Namely, most people don't know enough or care enough about him to form a judgement, which actually takes up a lot of energy. But young muscular hunks almost always land on their feet anyways...

Am I the only one who doesn't give a shit about this? 400 million people and you think theres only a handful breaking the rules? I don't believe anyone should get more punishment based on the amount of social media followers they have. Theres something incredibly sad about society that this is where we are.
What I don't get is if they hid the fact that they went, but the online social media investigators (who as I understand have a perfect record with these things...) blew it up to this big story, does that not actually do more damage as you're doing the influencers work for them? Now more teens know they travelled during the pandemic, and some will see that there's no ill signs on them so now those teens will be influenced negatively?
They wouldn’t be relevant if people would stop following them. Influencing is advertising. Why you exposing yourself to all that fake promotional crap. Cause they’re cute? No one is cute enough to make me watch commercials.
