Yes it will absolutely help smooth that out. Some of the scar tissue will remain visible, as a different colour to the rest of the skin, but it will be smooth.

Yours definitely still needs to heal though, some of that looks quite raw, so expect even more swelling to go away.

You can see how mine now looks. The scar continues on like an extension of the perineal raphe.

I could have another go with the plasma pen, for additional cosmetic improvement, but when erect, and the skin is stretched, it's even less visible so I haven't bothered.

Hi guys, thanks for the informative thread. I've never had trouble with sex since I've always used a condom but my GF went on birth control and not that long ago, we were going at it and changed position but there was a surprising amount of blood (like a pool of blood on her butt). We both thought it was her but we both cleaned up and as I was tending to her I noticed my dick was bloody again, then I saw it. A tiny area on my frenulum that wasn't gushing blood but it was definitely "flowing". I applied pressure for a few minutes and it stopped, I pulled my foreskin over it and we tried to clean up the aftermath.

After that, I started looking into frenulum breve. I might have it a tiny bit but my foreskin can comfortably be pulled back just behind the head of the penis. However, I have a lot of foreskin so my foreskin so there's a lot of skin bundled behind the glands on the top side of my penis. If I move the rest of that skin back, then my head gets pulled down from the frenulum tension. You can also see some white skin where it tore a tiny bit.

I was going to leave it be but then I came across frenulum tying and this thread (thank you all for this thread btw!). After some time of researching and considering my options, I decided to have a go at it.

I bought some hypodermic needles (20g, make sure reviews say its sharp, I've read some where they said the batch had some dull ones so I avoided those ones), the 0.5 stretch magic string, and some libocaine cream. As I waited for it to be delivered, I practiced pulling my frenulum out with my left hand, pretend holding a needle in my right hand's index and thumb, and pushing my head back a bit with my right hand's ring/pinky finger. I was very weary of blood vessels but when I pull my frenulum taught, I can seem to find any. I thought I saw some thick ones but removing the light, it was just frenulum skin that was bundled over itself. There was one vein running along the edges of the frenulum going towards the meatus I think, but it tapered off a bit before reaching the meatus (might have injured it or something when I had my incident).

Then my stuff came and I made sure that I could thread the string into the needle, also tested with some paper how sharp one of the needles were (very sharp) and the journey began.

I woke up this morning and applied some of the libocaine cream (I had 4%) to my frenulum and the areas it connected to the meatus. Pulled my foreskin over it and drank my protein powder and brushed my teeth. 10 or so minutes later, I touched the area and can still feel it, just a little numb feeling.

I then got all the materials and prepared. I put a towel down on top of my toilet with the seat down and stat on it. I placed off my stuff on the towel in between my legs (paper towels, opened needle in package, precut string, and a phone/light source). I kept extra string and a pair of scissors behind me just in case I lost the string.

I then put my phone underneath my balls (in gaming terms, I tea bagged the phone). And then I prepared where to pierce and how to hold it in place. Be weary of the phone light as staring directly into it while you're fidgeting with your dick can burn that spot in your vision for a bit. While trying to find the best position, sometimes the light would directly be shining in my eyes and then when I finally got the correct spot, my vision had tiny blind spot exactly where I wanted to pierce. A couple of minutes at it went away.

My left hand is in place, right hand went to grab the needle and then carefully position my ring finger to push and stabilization the position of the penis such that the frenulum is taught (holding the needle like you would a pencil minus the middle finger). Got pretty close to the piercing site (my dick was flaccid and i'm a grower so there wasn't a lot of skin and decided to go mid way between the meatus connection and the base of the shaft since it was still very close to the meatus).

Made sure that the light is able to shine through the foreskin (so I don't inadvertently puncture my glands). Took a deep breathe and pieced. Just a quick but controlled "poke," just enough to get the needle through and then some. Tiniest of pinches and needle went right through (sharp hypodermic needle), barely felt it probably due to the libocaine. But it can also be because my frenulum, when you pull it taught, is almost transparent in certain places, the skin is pretty minimal.

I only pushed the needle through like half an inch, if that. I just needed it to pierce it. Then I grabbed the string and slipped it in through the needle. This was kind of hard since doing this for the first time and the relief that it went ok kind of made me loose my pinpoint focus. I pulled the string through so that It would be in the middle when I removed the needle. Held the end of the string opposite of the direction I would pull the needle (basically the string on the side that came out of the pointy end of the needle) since I'd just be reversing the needle out.

Then I tied the surgeon's knot (regular criss cross underneath, but with another underneath) and tighten hard. This pinched a little. Then a regular criss cross underneath to finalize the knot. And did it again 2 more times just in case. I left a lot of string on there in case I needed to retighten. Cut off some excess and wrapped the rest behind of the head of my penis and then pulled the foreskin over my glands again.

The cream will wear off eventually and I'll have to gauge the pain but right now, its minimal and dull with a feeling of a sharp tingle at times. So when I do feel it, its just a tiny bit uncomfortable. Overall, no blood and pain was at most a 2 out of 10 (1 being a very light pinch and 5 being you stubbed your toe, knee, or elbow into something really hard and you have to stop, yell curses, and take a moment to breathe to recover). Basically no worse than the tiniest of pinches that you can actually say that "hurt a little."

Hopefully it heals well and quick. I thinking I might need another tie after this has healed but I'll have to see how this one goes first.

Sorry for the long post, but thanks for all the info guys. I'm always cautious of my frenulum now and kind of ruins the mood sometimes plus I feel like I'm going to eventually tear it again, might as well "release" the tension from it. But once again, thanks for all the info, wish me luck on healing!

That was a very long post but it's a good read for anyone that's contemplating this themselves. You've obviously read the thread and picked up all the relevant bits of information necessary to make this a success.

An update.

Last couple of days it has been feeling a bit sore and sensitive. Today it fell off. I went to shower and was getting ready to clean and soak it a bit and it was gone. But definitely looks like I'll be needing more ties.

I'm going to wait until Thursday or Saturday and do my next tie.

Everything is a bit sore so I don’t want to mess with it right now to take great pics. I swear when I made my initial tie, it halfway between the meatus and the shaft but I definitely doesn’t look that way now. Maybe because of the swelling. Going to have to determine how deep to go next and maybe see how it looks when erect.

Its been awhile since the last update and quite the journey since then.

03/31 first tie, fell off in 7 days
04/10 second tie, fell off in 5 days
04/15 third tie, fell off in 2 days
04/17 fourth tie, fell off in 5 days

The piercing part was always the smoothest, no pain at all. However, after the first tie, as I got deeper (and the frenulum skin got thicker), there was more blood (still not a lot, but more) when I removed the needle.

Loved the stretch magic string and always worked out without much pain, but my knots kept undoing itself. If I only did one knot, it would definitely unravel itself. So at least 3-4 surgeons knots for me (with the last one unraveling itself the next day). I did retighten periodically (if I ever do another one, I might try fishing wire).

And lastly, the last tie got more skin than I thought it would (shining the light through it, it looked thin, but after the pierce, it realized it wasn't what I thought it was) and it definitely hurt the last few days when I pulled my foreskin back to run some water on it. Like a solid, I'm going to need to breathe through this and definitely feels like I'm pouring water on a fresh wound pain. I leave a good amount of string and wrap it under my foreskin so that its easier to retighten, but as I pulled back my foreskin, the string kind of tugs/moves the knot some and so i think that part of what caused some discomfort for the last tie.

Going to not bother it for some time and let it heal up. Hopefully everything heals up well and this is the last tie I will want. I have a fear that with one foreskin, the cut frenulum will be in close contact with its original position, that my frenulum is going to reconnect itself again haha. Once again, thanks everyone for the info!

When you say you did '1-2 times 15 min warm salt water', do you mean that before you tied the knots, you would put your penis in warm salt water for 15 minutes to soften the skin and prepare it for the needle/ties? If so, how much salt did you use? Did you use any creams/ointments to help with the healing? You before looks exactly the same as my situation now.

You can do it before to disinfect and make the skin soft for the tie. The salt idk like 1 tea spoon for a cup. But also the days after so it cuts through the skin faster and cleaner. I also used fusidine teva cream every few hours, its to prevent infections.

About two weeks ago, after reading through this all 40 pages of this thread countless times, I decided to take the plunge.

Day before I ordered the stretch magic string (0.5mm) off Amazon, and double checked that I had Emla cream and 18g needles at home.

Day of, I put the Emla cream on - really didn’t use a lot, but put as much as I could, and rolled the foreskin back. Set a timer for 45 mins and gathered my alcohol spray, scissors, stretch magic string and needle.

Went into the bathroom, sprayed the scissors with alcohol, cut the string, sprayed the string with the alcohol, shone the light through to make sure no veins, got as close to the gland as possible and started applying light pressure. Felt nothing. A bit more pressure and it was through. Shockingly little pain. Maybe 1/10. Strung the stretch magic string through the needle from the pointed end that had just pierced the frenulum, and pulled it back out. Tied about 5 ties as tight as I could.

Spur of the moment decided to do another one a little further down. Not really sure why I did this besides the fact that I was so shocked it didn’t hurt. Again minimal pain, a bit of blood, but got the needle through easily, and got the string through the needle.

The issue with this second one is that I was a bit cocky, and was less careful, and absolutely hit/scraped a vein. When I took the needle out it bled and bled and bled. Stopped it by putting pressure and spraying my alcohol spray on it. The bleeding eventually slowed enough to tie the second one just like the first.

I clipped off the excess string, was pleased to see I could roll my foreskin up over the knots very easily, put some toilet paper in my undies for the tiny bits of blood that were still coming, and went on with my day.

Over the next 8 days, it was pretty unobtrusive. I went to the gym and did burpees the next day with no issue. A bit of aching occasionally - max 4/10 at its worst. Sprayed it with alcohol every day which burned, but that was more the dick less the wound. Washed as normal in the shower a little sensitive but overall fine. The two cuts were quite close together, and the knots kind of chafed the skin in between.

Took 8 days for the first knot to come out, and that was with a lot of tugging on it to try to encourage it. Turns out I’m not very patient. Next morning the second one came out, but I pulled that out more than it falling out.

I’ve been pretty happy with it since - it’s healing, but not too sore. It’s not as much as I’d like, so it still tugs if I pull my foreskin back, but I can get it back quite a bit easier. A little harder to roll foreskin back over. No sensitivity change that I’ve noticed so far. I would do it again, and will do more ties.

I took pics each day but they really don’t show much change or are that interesting so I’ve combined them. Second picture is the “after” - left is one day after both ties were out, and the next one about 4 days later

I’ve got a few ties to go - but from now on I’ll do one at a time. I’ve also got a Plasma Pen en route from Aliexpress. Never noticed the PPPs until taking a daily close up picture - but I’m sure as hell aware of them now. Glad the plasma pen will get rid of them.

Things I’ll do differently for my next ties
- Not do 2 at once
- Use a surgeon’s knot every second knot
- Not clip it right up to the knot, leave a little more string
- Be way more careful about vein

Thanks to everyone here for all the detailed info. Stabbing my dick with a needle is something I never imagined I’d do, but now I’m just wishing I found out about this earlier.

I guess I've always had PPPs but never noticed them until I was a teenager and started having sex.

I got all paranoid and thought I had an STD or something.

Went to the doctor and he said nothing to worry about, they're harmless and fairly common in uncircumcised men. He said they can be removed for aesthetics but I didn't really see a need.

No guy I've been with has noticed or mentioned them.
