Work travel to Berlin (2 weeks) and Prague (1 week) coming up. I'm free to pick my own accommodations as long as I stay relatively reasonable (nothing over $400/night). This will be my first time in both cities (and countries) but since it's a work trip, I have to well, work, during the day.

My workplaces are in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg in Berlin and New Town in Prague. What I'm thinking is to spend late afternoons and/or early evenings sucking dick to unwind and relax (anywhere between 4-9pm, not exactly the whole time, but preferably every night). I know there are saunas and similar places and I will likely check some out on the weekends.

Do I stay in the general area or are these business districts that empty out at night? I don't mind taking public transportation and would prefer to stay somewhere where I can enjoy my evenings. I'm thinking areas with a lot of foot traffic, a transport hub, tourist spots, or nightlife - somewhere where I can open the usual apps and my location would be convenient to go to.

I stayed in the center of Prague and didn't have luck on Grindr at all. At first I thought it's that I'm not their type, then that it's a language barrier (there definitely is) and then I just correlated things with some experiences over the years. The Czech are just not that sexual really.

Hookup culture surely exists but it's not widespread. Guys lack initiative and everybody is waiting for god knows what to happen or someone to make a move, but nobody does and you're just staring at each other's profiles.

All the Czech guys I've ever tried to flirt with have had a really passive attitude and bland. I finally ended up meeting a Czech guy at my hotel (in Barcelona mind you) and he was super nice and kind, but he only wanted to dry hump and jerk off together, not even suck. He came very fast.

You'll have most luck with tourists if you get a hold of one.

On a different note, get ready for how rude people in Prague are. I thought Amsterdammers are rude but this is on a whole other level, also standoffish. From waiters, to staff to just everyone you'll interact with. I think it's something to do with overtourism and being a capital because the Czech friends I have are nothing like that or like the gays in Prague.

I have to defend the Czechs, they are actually exceptionally friendly people. But the center of Prague has been flooded with crowds of tourists for decades, who often don't behave in a very culturally sensitive way. As a result, you are sometimes treated with disinterest at the tourist hotspots.

In Prague, I'd go cruising in the Letná area :)

Thank you for this! I might check out one or two spots and hope to get lucky. I've done what I was planning on previous work trips but in places where there was no language barrier, so I got to enjoy a cock or two almost every night haha.
