I am experiencing a club/concert itch. Music so loud it dulls ya other senses. Hundreds of folks dancing/moving to the same song. Couple drinks and other favors over tipsy.

But. Mother Fucking Covid and governmental ineptitude. Is there such a thing as a rage sigh?

I feel ya. I won tickets to my #1 band 3 days before my state shut down. One month away from the show. Crushed me.

That is some curse the world, pledge allegiance to chaos type shit. Like, organizations dedicated evil and destruction have started for less.

Pretty sure Cobra Commander had tickets to a Kasey and The Sunshine Band gig that was canceled due to a local outbreak of German Herpes.

As much as it fucking sucks to say, because it kinda hurts like a motherfucker... I have to say there's ONE good thing about my stupid body not being able to carry a child to term and birth a healthy baby: I can rub it in the face of assholes who look at women as baby factories. Breeding fetish? Thrilled to disappoint you!

I also can't be accused of getting pregnant just to keep a man, or whatever other bullshit. No one can tell me I'm just having kids to get on welfare. I've known so many women who have multiple kids who get accused of intentionally having large families just to get government assistance. Fucking stupid racist, sexist assholes. They can't tell me a fucking thing.

Oh Sweetie, I can so relate to some of that even though I went through natural childbirth. At 22 I decided to have a tubal ligation. The divorce was horrible, and I had my hands full with a 3-year-old on my own.

I knew that was it for me. One was enough. I thought so long and hard about it after two years as a single mother, that I was finally satisfied with my decision.

My doctor was not. Wait what? You don't have a say in this. Oh yes he does I was informed. Even the second opinion told me that I didn't know what I wanted. I was too young. I'm in good shape.

Yeah, so? What does that have to do with anything? Well, them child-bearin' hips are meant for one thing ya know. And them boobies could feed a tribe.

Fuck Texas. That's when I knew I had to leave. I did find an empathetic woman GYN. She did her due diligence telling me it may not be reversible. And she said "I'm only telling you this because I have to." Again, fuck Texas.

I wanted to tell the other doctors "Look around. They got lots of baby factories at University of Texas to take my place." I guess they didn't want to let any one of them get away.

Stories like this make me SO GLAD that I have a good relationship with my healthcare providers, and that they know that I want to know ALL my options from least invasive to what's most likely to correct my issue along with the risks of each approach. Why don't more doctors do this? Give me the info, let me ask questions, offer their insight and let's come up with the best path of treatment FOR ME. Not what the insurance company suggests. Not what everyone else does. What's best for my situation. It's a bit frustrating to have to actively advocate for yourself like this, but so, so worth it.

That said, if it's something elective and permanent, I DO want a doctor that's going to say something like "it may not be reversible" so I know the risks.
