Obama was raked across the coals for being photographed in a dress shirt with the collar unbuttoned.

Howard Dean lost his presidential primary bid for an overly enthusiastic woohoo.

The difference with Trump is that no sitting POTUS since the rise of electronic media has behaved this way. No POTUS has been enabled by the Senate the way Trump has.

From cold tweeting policy changes that WH staff have cobble into being. To the conspiracy and deplorable courting. To this sad, reality rejecting, democracy eroding flounce that will go on until Jan 20. He has denigrated the office and the idea of what America is.

what’s popping into my mind is the Bible photo op and well, Portland.

I was a bit staggered by referring to any of Trump's actions as merely water cooler gaffs.

I mean... the entire country is a plague hot zone with all the resulting social, infrastructure and economic fallout.

Ya know.. And fleecing his followers for monies while undermining democracy.

That's not telling an off color joke or referring as women in the office as girls.

Yes, GW qualifies as a war criminal. Yet his legacy still goes down as "a likeable guy" to this day. Not to mention there is a search term called 'Clinton b@die cuonte' on wikipedia, if you get my drift... the deeper you search down that path... well, probably the more you'll be able to justify a need for a vpn. If that even matters. There's a reason 'suicided' is now a verb that has to do with two shots to the back of the head.

I don't think you know exactly who you're blabbering to about "where were you then?"

Did you know me back then? Pretty sure ya fuckin didn't. So how exactly would you know what I or anyone in this thread was or wasn't supporting/protesting in previous administrations?

W wasn't "likeable" or anything less than a poorly qualified legacy case until Trump came along. It's not an exaggeration to say that Trump is the best thing to happen to W's political career since being born into the Bush family.

In fact the Bush name was so synonymous with ineptitude and failed administration that his brother, Jeb, was laughed out of his primary bid.

Trump reset an entire planet's standard of definition of at least 17 negative adjectives. Like, "I thought a stubbed toe was painful until I got hit by a truck" of new perspective.

As for where I've been. Voting in every election since coming of age. Volunteering and donating to causes of importance or dear to my heart. Living by my principles, trying to be better me, and still giving a fuck throughout all of it.

When people say they are not political what they are saying is "my life will not change regardless of the out come."

Most people do not have that luxury.

I am a thin blanket sleeper. The weighted blanket is awesome for self-forting during a movie marathon. Sleep needs to be thin and preferably cotton. Fuck microfiber!! In the summer only certain body parts can be covered, mostly upper body/shoulders. Little know fact: summer months in the south are monster free. Late June to Mid-September are the only 'feet out" months of the year.

Also prefer a twin blanket. Cuz that's a perfect amount of blanket weight and coverage. I usually end up buying a queen/king to cover me. The doggos. The boy. To avoid the dreaded blanket smothering I only use one corner to cover myself with.

The boy... If blankets could be made of lead. I am amazed he hasn't stolen one from a dentist's office. He would sleep under all the mattresses in Princess and the Pea. He builds an earthen oven dome made of 15 layers of blankets. You could cook authentic flatbread based foods under his covers.

Those are my thoughts on blankets.

I would like your thoughts on best 100% organic cotton sheets. My sis bought us microfiber sets a couple months back and I HATE. I wanted a set from boll & branch sateen but man 250$

Any others you may recommend? Sateen preferred.
