Does anyone know how old he is? Saw someone claim he is around 28, which would be so shocking if that were true because that makes him 6 years younger than the guy that plays Jed.

That age sounds about right. He may be a bit older. It's hard to say since he hasn't been around in the public eye for that long and there aren't any wiki pages on him.
Here he is in 2015 and he looks pretty young, like 21 or 22.
