How Much of the World's Fresh Water Is in Antarctica?

Apparentl

The Antarctic ice sheet contains 70% of the world's fresh water.

Antarctica is a unique continent known as being the driest, windiest and
coldest place on earth. Not many would probably guess the Antarctic ice
sheet, which covers nearly 98 percent of the continent, contains 70 percent
of the world's fresh water.

How Fast Do a Rat's Teeth Grow?

Apparently

A rat's teeth can grow up to 5-1/2 inches (14 cm) a year, but gnawing on
things keeps them shortened.

Rats are known for their prominent front teeth, which develop just over a
week after they are born and grow continuously throughout their lives. An
average rat’s teeth can grow from 4.5 (11.43 cm) to 5.5 inches (14 cm)
every year

Do Bananas Grow on Trees?

Apparently

now that i did know of/my time N Qld Australia ha
Bananas grow on herbaceous plants, not trees, as the plants do not contain
true woody tissue.

Contrary to popular belief, bananas do not grow on trees. Although the
banana plant is often referred to as a banana tree, it is actually an herb
and not technically a tree due to its lack of woody fibers.

How Often Do People Blink?

apparently ..unless theyre asleep of course huh duh'

On average, people blink around 4 million times per year.

There are varying estimates, but on average, people blink 15-20 times per
minute. This means that people blink about 4 million times per year.
Blinking, which only takes one-tenth of a second, is basically the eye's
mechanism for cleaning and moisturizing the eyeball.

What's Unusual about an Octopus's Arms?

Apparently

Neurons in an octopus arm allow the arm to react even after being cut from
the rest of the body.

Octopuses, the eight tentacled cephalopods, have about 500 million neurons
in their bodies. Most of the neurons are found in their arms, which allow
the arms to problem solve on their own.

Long Can Birds Fly without Stopping?

Apparently

The bar-tailed godwit can fly for nearly 7,000 miles
(11,265 km) without

Some migratory birds can fly non-stop for very long distances. Some birds
are even able to cross oceans without stopping as they migrate. The record
for the longest distance flown by birds without stopping belongs to
bar-tailed godwits. These birds can fly 7,000 miles (11,265 km) without
stopping to rest or eat.

Who Created Coca-Cola?

apparently
i hate coca cola btw, biggest gut rot tooth destroyer ever

John Pemberton was working on a cure for headache when he and a lab
assistant invented the formula for Coca-Cola.

Coca-Cola was originally invented by John Pemberton and patented as French
Wine Coca nerve tonic in 1885. Pemberton was hoping to create a substitute
for morphine, to which he had become addicted after an injury during the
Civil War.

Who Was the First to Correctly Determine Why the Sky Is Blue?

Apparently

Leonardo da Vinci
was the first person to determine that the sky is blue
because of the way air scatters light.

The sky is blue because blue light is scattered far more than other colors.
The light from the sun with shorter wavelengths is absorbed and radiated by
the gas molecules in the sky. This is called "Rayleigh scattering."

What Was the Population of the Earth in Prehistoric times?

x
Apparently

The entire human population of Earth was less than 26,000 for about 1
million years.

According to scientists from the University of Utah, the entire human
population of Earth was less than 26,000 for about a million years. Even
fewer, about 18,500, were capable of breeding. This means that 1.2 million
years ago, humans were an endangered species. Endangered species are
species at risk of becoming extinct.

How Much Did Coca-Cola Cost When It Was Introduced in 1886?

Apparently

A bottle of Coke cost 5 cents when introduced in 1886--and stayed that
price for more than 70 years.

Coca-Cola was originally only available from soda fountains, at 5 cents per
glass. The exclusive bottling rights for Coke were purchased in 1899 by a
trio of entrepreneurs. According to the terms of the deal, the rights
included the ability to buy Coke syrup at a fixed price in perpetuity. This
meant that the bottlers could increase their prices to keep pace with
inflation, but the Coca-Cola Company couldn't increase the price of their
syrup in response.
