They're not even the first actors in thile Descendants franchise to think their characters should be a gay couple. Thomas Doherty (Harry Hook) and Dylan Playfair (Gil, Gaston's son) were way ahead in Descendants 2 and even kissed offscreen. But Disney will never go there.
