I think your sizes in inches might be for the feet themselves, not the shoes or boot length. I wear a size 10 shoe, and almost all of my shoes measure 12 inches long, within a 1/2 inch or so. I have used my shod feet as measuring devices to figure out room sizes, how much carpet, etc!

If a shoe or boot is 1.5 to 2 inches longer than the foot itself, then the size 14 boot may well be 14 inches log.

This topic has denigraded into an argument about who can tell what from sight. I think the original intent was to let the biggest man step forward. Having been a member of this site for over four years and an active member, I have noticed one major thing, this site is not about "who is biggest".
