Like Hootie, I had gone in to the urologist following a kidney stone. In the exam room we had a conversation about how everything is working "down there", and since I'm in my 40s he was asking about sex and if there were any E.D. problems, I told him I didn't have any problems. The conversation ended, and he told me to stand up and drop my pants and underwear. After dropping trou, he said, "well, I guess size isn't an issue for you.", or something along those lines. I just kinda smiled, and didn't know how to respond.
But let me tell you all this - kidney stones hurt like hell.

I had a kidney stone about 30 years ago and I can still recall the pain. It literally will knock you off of your feet. Passing it was awful, but what a relief. After a few days the burning which accompanied urination passed and it was business as usual. I always make sure that I drink plenty of fluids, even if it means getting up once in the night to piss.

I had an injury years ago, that required me to get checked out.The doc ask if my balls had always been that large or had they swollen.Always had big balls.Recently I went to a doc for a check up.He slid back on his stool and look at my genitals in a puzzled way.My dick was shrunk up inside of me.He asked me if my dick had always been that small and my balls so large.I told him yes until I started lifting weights in my mid teens. He said that lifting weights and building lower body muscle can,in some men, cause their dick to retract as the muscles tighten up.So now I know why my dick shrank.Balls did too a little.Sorry for the life story but the OP ask if the doc ever said anything about genitals.

well yes. At 16, i got a job at a dairy queen. The owner told me i would have to get a health permit card. His nephew was the new g.p. In town so he told me to go to him. I did right away directly after school. No one but him was in the office. He only had two exam rooms. Looked like he was organizing everything. I may have been his first patient. He told me to undress and go in room 1. I did take everything off except my boxar shorts. He came in, sat down on the stool and began asking questions. How old are you? 16. When is your birthday? I told him. Are you sure? Yes. You sure a hairy 16 yo. When did you start growing hair. About 4 or 5 years ago. Then he did all the normal stuff including taking some blood for testing. He asked me to take my shorts off. I did. He said you are uncut, why? My dad would not let them to do it. Why? He had to be cut when he was 15 and had a very difficult time. He then picked up my dick, pushed back the foreskin, felt all around it, picked up my scrotum, felt my nuts. By then i was getting aroused. He noticed it and just looked up at me smiling. The visit ended up very surprisely. My first time. That was not the last time i saw him

My son went to the doctor for a physical. I was with him, since he was 15 at the time. The doctor pulled down his pants, for the "turn and cough" part of the physical. He looked at him, and said "Oh, my." and continued the physical. My son is really hung for a 5'6" 140 lb guy!

No, but I had a physical done by a doc who was a professional friend and while doing the prostrate exam, I asked him what he would do if the patient smiled when he did it. He said that he would withdraw and immediately leave the room. Helped to ease the situation. He was also an ER doc and I was a medic on paramedic units.

Slightly off topic -

My doctor just did a brief prostrate exam on me when I saw him a month ago. (I am gettin' close to 40 after all).

He was a new doctor for me (I'd had a bad experience with the previous one - a homophobe) and very handsome in my eyes (kind of like John Kerry, but younger and better looking).

He was being very softspoken and asked me to pull down my underwear and bend over (onto the examining table). Just how handsome he was, and his voice, had an effect on me....and when he penetrated me with his finger (professionally) I involuntarily blew my load on the exam table.

He was very professional and kind and told me not to worry about it. He left the room and let me get dressed (and cleaned up).

I had a gay doctor about ten years ago who was very hot, a bodybuilder. But his methods were a little suspect to me. He always used to hug me when he came into the exam room - and yes, he was hot, but that's a boundary I thought was audacious for him to cross without us knowing each other.

And once when he was examining me, he was hard. He apologized for that and said it was because of another patient (!!) and then grabbed it for about ten seconds to give me a great view.

As a man, a cockpig and a voyeur, I loved that and was turned on. But I was pretty appalled as a person seeking medical treatment. That was my last visit to him.

He was also the one that commented on how small my dick is, and wondered if I'd ever thought about vacuum pumping? It was not in a mean context and was in a long conversation we had in my exam but again....pretty audacious.

Never had comments by doctors.

I did become aware of comments by nurses and orderlies
one time I was hospitalized; I had a room right next to the
nurses station and over heard some of them talking.
No one behaved any differently or said anything to me.

Never did find out who it was talking that day. I must've seemed odd
to the staff coming into my room after that as I was looking
at all of them somewhat perplexed, trying to read their expressions,
wondering if they were one of them.

Agreed. I can't believe how many doctors feel the need to comment on size according to people on lpsg.

I have never commented about a patients penis. I have swabbed many a penis for STD's and seen all shapes and sizes. Never has a guy got a hard on.

In the ER me and a nurse had to remove a cockring form around a guy's balls prior to suturing which was quite a feat... we did not know how to take it off and this caused the patient a lot of discomfort and he had to help out.

I can't believe some of these comments and my gut feeling is that some of these are made up. In 35+ years of being examined, I have never had any comment other than I needed a shower when I was 15 or so. I did ask my pediatrician when I was 13 or 14 why I was so small (when soft of course) and he replied that I wasn't small.

Not about my dick or with a doctor, but a nurse practitioner once asked if the clinic could take a picture of my balls since they were so huge--to use for training purposes--but the doc who took the clinic's pictures was gone that day and I never got around to going back to the clinic when he was in!

I think it would be cool having a picture of my balls used for training!

Last year I was passing a kidney stone and the painful stimulation i was feeling in my dick was keeping it constantly hard. My g.p. told me to pull my pants down so he could examine it. So it popped out all hard and he checked to make sure there was no discharge. He looked and palpated for a few seconds and said "ok lets put that thing away." Makes me laugh....you could tell it was really uncomfortable for him.

I had to get a physical recently for the first time in a long time. The doctor was in his mid 30's and a very straight forward guy. The exam went pretty normally but when it came time for him to inspect my penis I got instantly hard, as he was touching it he just looked up at me and said "You have an erection." I had no clue how to respond I just said "yep." and he was done and I put my clothes back on.

The closest I've ever come to this was when I was in college and had a bout of epididymitis.

I had a friend take me to the campus clinic, and I honestly don't remember if I saw another doctor first and they called in the clinic director, who was female, for her input or if I saw the clinic director first. Most of the details are cloudy because of the amount of pain I was in. One thing I do remember very clearly is when the clinic director pulled back the sheet or gown or whatever was covering me and laid eyes upon my (hugely swollen) testicle, she said, "That's impressive!"

FWIW, that was my 2nd experience with epididymitis IIRC. After a 3rd, a urologist told me they were probably all testicular torsions that were just resolving themselves by the time I got to a doctor, so he did the surgery to fix the boys from doing that.

I would like to believe that all doctor's act in a professional manner. That goes for nurses too. That said, I have heard from friend's who are nurses that they notice and often comment and even joke about patient's penis size. Especially if there is a particularly large "specimen" on their floor.
One nurse even confirmed that the "African-Americans have larger penises" myth is true--at least in the flaccid state.
They don't joke or talk about it openly so that patient's or family members can overhear them. But like all people in all professions, there is "office" gossip.

Many cultures in history have treated the male phallus as a totem of honor- notably South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Greece, and all over Europe. Wouldn't it be something if we could have a turn in our culture where it was acceptable- maybe even "COOL" to display a Horga'hn (from Star Trek Next Generation- it's Riker's sex statue from Risa.)
