Flowers you like

Next time you happen to come across a bunch of naturally scented carnations of multi colours. Smell the different colours one at a time, you will find they each have there own from the delicate scent pinks and whites to the strong of reds and purples.

Love my Stella D'oro, actually I've got several varieties of daylillies. Mountain pinks, four O'Clock's, I generally only plant perennials. Peonies, Iris, roses, hydrangea mine go from pink to blue but not every year. I love all kinds of flowers for every season. Mums in the fall, Christmas cactus unfortunately mine bit the dust after close to ten years or better.

They have come a long way since I raised them to sell at my floral shop and greenhouse in the late 60s. Then one shade of red ( color darkness controlled by amount of sun the got during the growing time) , white and the new one pink. Now each year I look forward to see what they have come up with in color and form.

This thread is a good one to come back to and just relax, enjoy the posts.
Seeing as I am in the midst of a nasty below zero cold snap, it’s nice to see growing things and color. The current view in my area of the world is monochromatic centered on grey. However, I do like winter...for about two months. Hope springs eternal it will change by June.
