OK so when is it going to stop? I’m sick of it and you should be too.

This afternoon I went to the local Gold’s Gym and did my usual workout (although I usually do so in the early morning at 5:00AM I had to go later today). After my workout I love to go to the hot tub and then the sauna and the steam room. After sitting in the Jacuzzi for thirty minutes I got out took a shower and then went into the sauna. Now I go in here nude as I don’t see the sense in wearing clothes and I don’t want to ruin my towel so it’s just me and my clean-shaven body so what.

Today was different; as I sat there enjoying the relaxing heat two assholes walked in. Let me tell you there was already two other guys in the sauna when they walked in. After they both sat down they noticed that I am clean-shaven and nude and immediately started with the GAY slur crap. Now I like to think I am smart enough to avoid confrontations over stupidity but they continued and it was getting nasty.

‘So what kind of FAG are you?” one of the assholes said. Then the other said that I must want to take everyone’s dick in the gym.

Now I am a lot of things but first of all I am not some pinhead redneck who believes just because someone is nude or clean-shaven that this somehow determines their sexuality. I am after all believe it or not very much a heterosexual although I admit to loving to tease and taunt all who will look or watch.

Anyway as these idiots continued I took as much as I could take when I stood up naked and all and sucker punched the first redneck so fucking hard his head hit the wall and made a thump and when his little fat buddy stood up I cold cocked him too knocking him down on the tile floor.

Now I am not proud of what I did but I do have a question. When are you so called heterosexuals going to get over it? If being GAY was contagious then we would all have a worry but just because someone dresses a certain way or in this case goes with out clothes and hair how in the fuck does this determine their sexuality????

I am sick of the narrow mindedness that still seems so prevalent in today’s society. As a straight man who enjoys showing off his body I have a serious problem with the rednecks who claim so loudly that they aren’t GAY. Homophobia takes on many forms and one of the most recognizable is anyone who professes so loudly that they aren’t GAY is probably lying.

As for the two fat ass rednecks I don’t think they will be bothering me again but the sad thing is they will probably continue their stupidity. At 6’1” 215lbs I think they didn’t think before they ran their mouth and I seem to remember a guy who I was in the marines with who was 6’6” and was GAY. He would have pulverized them…

This whole stupid thing can be avoided if the ignorant will just keep their thoughts to themselves and if you don’t like being around different people move to the Appalachia Mountains.

Its 2011 don’t you think its time we all started getting along better than we do now. The differences in us make us stronger not weaker.

When last I worked downtown, the gym I went to there was packed at lunch. I was amazed at the 20-somethings who would come in sweaty from working out (meaning drenched in sweat), take their gym shorts/t-shirts off (leaving on their drenched underwear), then put their DRESS CLOTHES back on OVER all that sweat! That has got to be the grossest thing I've ever seen (bet they really attract the ladies that way, women love nasty male sweat-smell, or so I'm told...).

For the record...most saunas..especially those that are male only, you can be nude in. I prefer to be nude if the option is there for the spa/sauna. *I will sit on a towel and depending who's around...will cover the naughty bits* lol HOWEVER, in this situation, I applaud you for standing up for yourself. Going straight to a punch over verbal assault is a bit much..but I have a feeling it would have ended up there anyway. I would have loved to have seen it. *and the punch!* lol

People do need to get over themselves and let people be. You obviously wouldn't have been nude if it wasn't allowed. So good for you. I'd even still go to the mgmt. and tell them of the incident and that you felt threatened. Just to cover for your actions, just in case. Anyone that has ever been "Bashed", verbally or physically for being gay should appreciate what you have done. (maybe not agree with it...but appreciate it.) Especially, since the people that are doing the bashing, usually get away with it...even in the case of Mathew Sheppard. Look at the results of that court hearing. sigh. Again, if it happened...*I'm glad you did something about it.*

As far as the police are concerned, the guy who threw the first punch is the one who will be going to jail with assault charges so I wouldn't bring this to the attention of the gym or the police if I were you.

Also, straight guys travel in packs and they don't like it when gay guys or guys who they perceive as gay beat them up. Good for you for sticking up for yourself, but my advise is to either watch your back or find another gym, preferrably one where male nudity isn't an issue, before those guys come back with their posse and they're all packing heat.

I have gone naked in my Y's steam and sauna rooms for several weeks, and the only adverse reactions so far have been the younger guys that leave very fast after I enter. I've even had a few good conversations. Still, almost all there are toweled. I do sit on my towel for sanitary purposes.

WOW, I guess when I originally posted this whole story naively I thought somehow I was just venting instead now I am defending whether or not it really happened, my spelling and grammar, the fact that I was NUDE and Clean-Shaven and somehow was asking for it, the lack of control I exhibited and my own stupidity in lowering myself not only with the punch but the name calling…FUCK I am so confused.

First of all regrettably it did happen at Gold’s GYM in Thousand Oaks, CA.

Secondly and most importantly I believe is that although I was NUDE and Clean-Shaven I have been a member at this gym now for over ten years and have utilized both the sauna and steam room in the buff. I don’t enjoy stepping inside with my workout clothes on, or underwear, or even my Speedos which I use in the pool and hot tub. I do sometimes sit on a towel but do not cover up in one nor do I believe I should have to nor is this somehow “asking for it”. This I am positive on. Although I freely admit to enjoying shocking or catching the eyes of some who are in the sauna or steam with me it has been harmless up to now.

I also agree that I should have just sat there and let them run their suck cause they weren’t going to do anything physically with me regardless of their negativity. Punching someone although a quick release isn’t in the long run a good one in fact my right hand is swollen due in part to a previous injury. So NO I am not proud of what I did and I do realize I could have seriously hurt someone and YES as it has been pointed out I could have been the one in trouble. I do want to remind you though that the other two gentlemen were quick to go to my defense with the management. These two guys were looking for trouble regardless of who they just caught me at the wrong time.

Where as I don’t agree that somehow their words made me squirm because I too question my sexuality nothing could be further from the truth I know who I am. Unfortunately though, I am sick of the narrow minded persuasiveness which still exists even in 2011. It is a kin to the young kids getting bullied in school.

Lastly I want to say I apologize for getting so many upset, my intention was to vent myself not start a war of words. I made a lot of mistakes myself but hopefully regardless of how I chose to resolve this they will not be so quick to say stupid things in the future to anyone no mater how they are dressed (or not), or how they walk, or talk.

I would like to think we are at a place in time when we can quit judging or the name calling of others regardless of how different they are from us and our beliefs. As a straight man I have GAY men and women as well as Transsexuals as friends. Where some who know me would guess initially that I am a conservative cause of short cropped hair or serving in the Marines I am not. Again you cant judge a book by its cover. When I was younger and had long hair (in the 70’s) it was immediately understood that you were some sort of ‘Druggie’ well that was far from the truth. I was a jock, it was the 70’s at a time when Rock n Roll and David Cassidy and Partridge Family were on TV. Today as I see young guys with their pants hanging to their crotch I don’t get it but I don’t say that they are all some how ‘Gang Bangers’.

Just because a woman wears a tight pencil skirt with a sheer blouse and no bra doesn’t mean she wants you.

I hope I have explained myself a little more clearly.

As for sitting bare ass naked on the tile in the Sauna in the gym, I assure you that the gym I go to is clean and I am in no way the only man who is doing this.
