On TikTok they have two individual accounts called littlekingnick and littlekingdan (both just filled with thirst traps), but they have stopped posting on littlekinglife (though it’s clear Nick has possession of that account)

Well the so called harassment, and we only have his word for it because there hasn’t been anything in public comments or posts, allegedly started after they broke up but continued to pretend like they were still together. Now of course nothing excuses any kind of harassment but none of this should have come as a surprise given how deep in the social media age we are and knowing full well how some psychos get overly attached and even form parasocial relationships with content creators. It also could have very easily been avoided if they had just come forward with the truth right away and maybe made one of those cheese breakup posts. Not to mention that all of this could have been completely avoided if they hadn’t decided to be social media influencers and gone public with their relationship to begin with.
The bottom line is that when you chose to become a public figure, even in a limited capacity on social media, you have to take the good with the bad and be constantly conscious of how much or how little you choose to share and the consequences that result. Crying foul over a mess you got yourself into doesn’t engender much sympathy, especially when you’re being “bitchy” about it.

I don’t get the Dan hate. Nick has been thirst trapping since day one, but when Dan starts doing it he’s a narcissist? It’s fine to have opinions and preferences, but that doesn’t give you permission to attack people online for not being YOUR type.
First, "combat said harassment"? Not only does that concede harassment, it's putting the onus on the harassed to combat something that shouldn't be happening in the first place. That's like saying, "It's her fault she got raped because there were tools she could've used to better combat being raped."
Second, "as simple as turning comments off"? There's nothing simple about that because comments are an integral part of what they're doing, so people are supposed to shut down a major component of what they're doing because some people who should know better are harassing them? That's especially true where it's part of their livelihood, making it like suggesting that if someone's getting harassed at work, it's their own fault for continuing to go to work. Never mind that that doesn't solve the problem any more than it solves it when somebody tells a kid to avoid and ignore the bullies. Just like no kid should have to not go to a dance to avoid getting bullied, nobody should have to turn the comments off to avoid getting bullied.
Yes, "should" is an ideal, but what we're talking about here is an ideal-- right and wrong. It's the harassment that's wrong, not the harassed that's wrong for not "combatting" those harassing them in ways the peanut gallery deems they could've or for not "simply" avoiding the situation where they're getting harassed and forgoing all of the benefits of that typically go with that situation that those harassers keep inserting themselves into. So quit blame-shifting from the harassers onto the harassed.
P.S. There is no "majority" and nobody gets to dismiss anybody else's harassment as "microscopic," even if it were founded, which it's not.
