I go to a mixed gym too - it's the only one close to my home - and i understand the situation. Glances are common and i have to say ok, it's not something avoidable and i'm used to. Just that, though.

Gym are like a microworld, a little society, so it's better to understand the right people and avoid any contact to men who go there just to flirt and show off.
