I’m a male and I’ve been knowing for a while know that I’m attracted to men. I did do some stuff with men so far, but I never had sex and since I’m reaching the age of 21, I feel the desire to atleast try it out. But I must admit, I’m kinda scared to do it. I also don’t really know if I’m a top or a bottom. I like to be dominated, but bottoming just seems so painful? So I’m just looking for any tips for the first time, maybe share how your first time went and; is Grindr a good app to hookup on?
Be upfront that you’re a newbie and find a guy that’s willing to take his time. Grindr is a good app for hookups, but probably not the best for your first time.

Also know that gay sex is not necessarily about anal. There are lots of gay men who do everything else except anal.
Before trying anal, I would suggest spending many hours figuring out how to douche, how to finger yourself, how to ride a dildo, how to find your prostate, what lube works for you etc. Otherwise, anal won't be particularly enjoyable and you will get tge wrong impression of what anal is like.
Remember when you first had sex with a woman. Most likely the first time was awkward, clumsy and possibly stressful. Your first time with a man may be like starting over but I would recommend you persist and you will get better and probably enjoy it a lot.

A good point, grindr doesnt really let you get to know your hook up in advance, it tends to be here fuck and go. A a guy experiencing naked sex for the first time you should know there is more to sex than getting fucked, mutual masturbation, frotting and oral sex can be as much fun and give a great deal of satisfaction
I was in a similar position not so long ago and what made me nervous was the fact I would be meeting this person for the first time and I was nervous they were going to be dangerous/strange so what I did was find a guy on Grindr who I thought was hot, and then we added each other on snapchat and spoke to each other for a day. After that, I felt comfortable enough with him to go to his house and that was my first gay sex experience! So if you would feel more comfortable, maybe get to know them first, ask what they are into, what positions they like so that you both feel prepared when you meet each other and don't feel blindsided/uncomfortable with anything that might come up. I have only had positive experiences with grindr, but I know this isn't the same for everyone but as long as you are cautious you should be okay!
