I still don't get why we have a thread about this.

There is the ignore button.

I do agree heartly we all can be bitches and asses.

But playing favoritism is very clear to me..as some choose to defend some members pictures reactions from others, protectively and try to avoid and respond to remarks, jokes etc about others members pics they may be found of.

In the end we may all take sides anyways.

I sure dont post pics or surf on galleries too, but its a good suggestion do not post if you dont want any comment.

Before you get all bent outta shape, why not go back and reread my post? I wasn't even insulting mercurial. I was giving her a suggestion regarding her selection of avatar pictures. If you'll notice, I even gave her a sincere compliment. The picture she has up now just isn't attractive. She looks old and worn out. I was pleasantly surprised to see that she looks substantially better in her other pictures, and I was suggesting that she throw the current one in the garbage and use one of the others. How is that so offensive?

Regarding my picture, I see no need to post one. I am not trying to meet anyone here, nor am I making claims about my own looks. Besides, even if I'm the ugliest dude on the planet, it doesn't make me any less qualified to judge the looks of others.

In most of your posts that I have read, you contribute nothing but troll behavior. I do believe you are being totally serious here. That underscores my point, and it does nothing to make you any more credible or likeable. You tell TK she needs to suck in her gut - that's your opinion and you are entitled to it. You tell MB she looks like a hag - that's your opinion and you are entitled to it. You also tell her that in some pictures she looks pretty good for her advanced ancient old age of 37 - again, your opinion.

You are under no obligation whatsoever to voice every single opinion you have of other peoples' appearances. I'm guessing you never heard the old axiom "If you can't say anything nice, say nothing at all." I'm also guessing you have never heard the business managers' mantra, "focus on the behaviors, not the individuals."

Try this on for size, to level the playing field... until you post photos of yourself, hold off on the comments on everyone else's appearance.

Try balancing your negative comments with some positive ones once in a while.

In several threads now, you have made very clear that you have issues with well-endowed men and with women over 25 and over 95 pounds. Why not focus more on those things you like, and less on those things you don't like?

Hmmm, how is it offensive? Here, let me give you a little lesson on manners. Your 'suggestion' was rude, real rude. Maybe a more acceptable approach would've been - "Hey, I really like your gallery pics, you should use one of those for your avatar, instead of the one you have". See that? You made your point without being an asshole throwing around childish insults. No, being ugly does not make you less qualified to judge others, but not posting a pic does. It takes courage to post pictures on here for the world to critique. If you can't show the same bravery, who are you to judge? I'm probably done with this, but you are an ass.

For the record, I'm not into twigs. I can actually appreciate the body of a so-called 'curvy' woman, provided that she's proportionate. TK isn't even what I'd call curvy... she is generally skinny but her gut seems to stick out. I'm not sure if it's just the angle of the picture, or if that's how she really looks. I noticed this awhile ago when I first browsed her account, but I kept my mouth shut until she started up with me.

While I can understand people being free to express themselves openly here on the forum where subjects are being discussed, that is a very different things from leaving nasty comments on people's pictures with whom you have a disagreement. There is no subject being discussed then, it's just a personal attack.

SOME people claim to have much bigger dicks than they really do, but that's not something I need to point out. I really don't understand leaving negative comments on people's pics when I know how hard it is to post pics here to begin with.

Like everything else, it says more about the attacker (Hickboy)- who coincidentally told ME he had a much bigger dick than the pic he showed me of himself. I think THAT'S the reason he's been an ass to me. Oh, I know- now I'm being mean, but it was okay for him to make a rude comment about Heather's pic. I'm really shocked the conversation went this way, that a troll like this LL dude was given a chance to insult women who are brave enough to post pics, supposedly in front of their friends.

You're right, none of us has to post pics. I've been here four years, am hardly a model, and never once had someone insult my pics. It's hardly "precedent" that a young, pretty girl should be expecting to be insulted in the gallery. Thumbs down, fuck you guys.

Thanks Kotchanski. I guess I just see it as cowardly to post "jokes" like that on someone's pics when their real complaint is with something the poster said. That hasn't been part of the program thus far.

I recently attempted to smooth over this little rift with mercurial by PMing her. Unfortunately, despite my very civil attempts to extend the olive branch, she lashed out at me with nasty namecalling and presented a generally condescending attitude.

At the crux of the argument is my continued assertion that her current avatar picture is far inferior to others in her gallery. She insisted that I am 'stupid' for continuing to believe so, given that she supposedly has 14 PMs from people who have thrown down undying praise toward her current avatar pic. She claims that with 14 people finding it attractive, versus little ol' me finding it unattractive, obviously I am the one with the offbeat taste in female photography.

But here is the problem: I will concede that mercurial is a rather well-liked long-time member of this forum. Therefore, it is unlikely that anyone is willing to say anything critical about the picture, especially if they fear (rightfully so) that it will hurt her feelings or get her angry.

To settle this matter, we need to get some neutral parties involved.

Here is what I propose:

I will select 2 or 3 pictures from her gallery that are relatively comparable in style to her current avatar picture. That is, they will be non-nude (and non-seductive) shots that show her face. I will take those pictures and post them on a bulletin board of a completely different website that neither of us currently visit. I will simply post the pictures and ask the heterosexual male members of that bulletin board to rate them from best to worst. We will also ask which picture she looks oldest and which she looks youngest. I can almost guarantee that the current avatar will be judged as worst and the oldest-looking, thus proving my point.
