Kit Connor

I bet he was ready to burn those clothes after the third week.
People seem to take this to mean he hated the role by week 3 and wanted out, I thought it meant he was sick of sweating into the same outfit every night.

I think if he didn't enjoy doing Romeo + Juliet, we might not have seen him posting so many BTS videos of him y'know, clearly enjoying doing Romeo + Juliet.

These people are not your friends. You don't know them just because you masturbate to them.
I mean PR is inportant and showing face. He’s not just going to shit on it. Im not here to discredit how much he may have enjoyed it and his castmates - it seemed he did have a good time with them. Just stating the obvious that the fandom was likely challenging and slowly came to damper the experience. It was all over his face. I saw the show and witnessed the stage door (and even how people were acting inside the theater trying to bribe ushers to bring things to the cast backstage and insert themselves into their lives as if they knew them) firsthand and it was uncomfortable to say the least. It just seems that that would be a lot to deal with and really take away from the meaning/art of what he was there to do. With that said - he’s talented and of course beautiful (why we are all here). I genuinely look forward seeing how his career progresses and seeing his handsome face on our screens. I’m sure R&J was a good growth experience and he learned what works for him in terms of future boundaries.

They washed them daily, and he likely had several of the same costume pieces. They would have had to since there was fake blood on some of them.

Actor has big success. Books more gigs based on that success. Fans believe said actor secretly resents the projects and the success itself.....

The costuming for the production was hideous and uninspired and added nothing to the production. They also looked very cheap, uncomfortable and poorly made. Thrifted clothing would have been more interesting.

I don't think Kit hated his experience in Romeo and Juliet but he did look very tired, it was quite noticeable, I hope that even for a few weeks he manages to rest a little and recharge his engines to shoot the movie of the leaf show.

I've heard other actors say that theater is stressful and doesn't play well. Way more stressful than regular tv and film

um yeah no shit 8 shows a week is more tiring/intense and prob more of a mindfuck than doing 5 takes with crafty, "talent wranglers" & a director's chair w your name on it standing by

also why some actors love it more

but it's been a couple months so i feel like you can stop worrying about him lmao. kit's a big strong grown lad.

He sure is lol. It’s funny how defensive folks are about the obsessive/toxic side of the fandom toward him lol

It’s undeniable what happened at the stage door and inside the theater was inappropriate. The rose glasses folks are wearing thinking he loved all of the fan interaction is wild. He barely looked anyone in the eye and looked like he couldn’t wait for the stage door time to be over. But, he really went more than above and beyond to be respectful to the folks who weren’t necessarily showing him the same respect as a human being.

I believe it's not great to guess about someone's mental and physical health when we don't know them well. But as I've always said, artists—be it singers, actors, or anyone else—owe something to their fans. Sure, there are some really intense fans out there, but Kit should acknowledge and appreciate the love from those loyal fans who genuinely care about him. It would be a bad look if he didn't. Now, if a fan is acting out and Kit isn't feeling his best, that's a different story.

Super toxic to think artists owe us something in return when they are already giving to us. It is a generous gift for them to give more of their time to fans and other appreciators of their art. We shouldn’t look at celebrities like they owe us something or an interaction. It’s nice to acknowledge and thank them for their work and if they accept the interaction and engage further - then great. But, it should not be an expectation. I think Kit went FAR past above and beyond with his R&J interactions that put him in corner that he couldn’t back out of without looking like an asshole. I think it is unfair and not right to think he owed everyone an interaction. I can’t 100% say for sure he was distressed completely by the entitled and cringey fans, but it sure seemed it. It reads in the majority of the stage door content captured by fans on tik tok etc. it looked intensely stressful. He didn’t jump out of the stage doors joyously - it seemed dreadful. There’s no way that didn’t damper his experience with the show in some way - just on a human emotional/physical exhaustion level after a performance. Fans need to have a little more decorum and respect for his and other celebs space. It’s weird to even really defend it or pretend it wasn’t a problem or detriment to the actual art being performed and experience of the performers.

I mean, I agree with many of the things you say, but I don’t agree that they are “already giving to us.” They’re doing a job for which they’re being paid, and we ‘re supporting them with money, attention, etc. I think in a limited sense they do have a responsibility to thank fans for their support, but it doesn’t extent far enough to condone abusive behavior from fans or anything like that. I’m simply suggesting that they do their best. Inevitably some fans will be disappointed, but that’s unavoidable
