Kit Connor

If I'm being truly honest, I think Kit as Cyclops was a miscast looks-wise. No offense to Kit, but he just doesn't look like Scott Summers to me, in face or body.

But then again, neither did Tim or Tye. Only Marsden has come somewhat close.

Having said that, however, Kit's a really good actor and I've no doubt he'll kill in the role.

I would have preferred Drew Starkey for the role, physique wise, but I’m happy for Kit either way. I just can’t imagine Scott getting the nickname « Slim » now.

What's their source on this? No reliable sources have reported this that I've seen. Was it in Production Weekly or something? A fan account isn't a reliable source so we should probably be cautiously optimistic even if some of them do take what they do seriously.

Sometimes the fan accounts get info leaked to them from publicists so hopefully this is correct because I'm really looking forward to this one. It's our best chance of seeing him in another queer production and possible nudity from him for the foreseeable future.

Given his upcoming gig and the ups and downs of indie/arthouse films in general, we should really only believe this movie is happening (with Kit) when he's confirmed to be actually filming it.

I don’t know what their source is, but it is also in Production Weekly.

yes

i have a pretty strong theory as to what's going on with the Rapture production (filming was pushed from 2025 in Hungary to 2026 in Hungary and Wales) -- although to be clear this kind of delay isn't remotely unusual for a mid-budget indie horror movie like this.

in June 2025 the Hungarian government froze all new registrations for their film industry tax incentives scheme for six months after reaching the legal cap for registered productions. following a decision at the end of 2025, and after the elections in Hungary earlier this year, the post-Orban government has lifted the incentives cap entirely, but it's definitely caused studio finance people to start hedging on productions there.

so basically the financial incentive to shoot in Hungary briefly decreased and they've moved some part of production to the UK (a bit more authentic for the story's setting in Yorkshire and also provides good tax incentives although production costs are higher).

the cast is obviously booked and busy but I have a feeling they're not the reason for the (honestly unremarkable) delay.

I’m inclined to agree - the soft puppy look doesn’t really suit Cyclops whose appearance (kinda like Batman) is really dominated by his jawline to contrast that you can see his eyes.

Please, please, please DO NOT give Kit an eating disorder to meet your ideals of a cartoon figure!

And those are basically the only times, and Scott and Wanda did not heavily interact. If Billy interacted with him at all.
There is a pretty significant verbal confrontation between Wiccan and Cyclops during the climax, as Wiccan defends giving Wanda another chance after House of M by bringing up to Cyclops all the X-Men who were mass murderers. It's pivotal to the series but brief, and yes that is their only real interaction as far as I know.

Funny enough, Scott did have an important relationship with the next generation of teen heroes, the Champions, thanks to some time travel shennanigans. This group includes MCU hero Ms. Marvel/Kamala Khan.
