IMHO, from what I've noticed on this side of the pond. two teenage kids did the nasty and the girl got stuffed. As my old aunt used to say, the first baby comes any time, the second takes nine months! So far we're not talking about anything unusual. Unfortunate, but not unusual. Apparently condoms haven't arrived in the wilds of Alaska.
The bitch here is that all this happened to a very ambitious woman who uses her supposed religious beliefs as a prop in her political bona fides. How embarrassing! But, you get out the shot gun and march the fornicaating couple onto the US political stage and smooth over the debacle by saying the couple WILL get married.
Now comes Palin's second disaster, the couple breaks up. Now someone's going to have to take the fall here and we know who that's going to be. Palin sets out to demonize the boy who not only did her religious daughter wrong but now isn't going to marry her. There is anger in the Palin house and I suspect it has nothing to do with whether Levi actually becomes her son-in-law and everything to do with her political goals - Palin does not intend to look bad and Levi is turning this into a disaster of Biblical proportions (pun intended). She retaliates and attempts to cut off access to the boy to see his own son. Then the boy's mother gets caught in a drug sting (we can only wonder if Gov. Palin had anything to do with that) which further casts Levi as a disreputable person by association. Wasilla (spel?) was characterized by the local press as long a hot bed of drug activity. You'd think that if Palin was that concerned about drugs in town she'd have done something about it rather than building a grand sports complex with public money.
So Levi fired back with the gun and amo that he has which is his bit of fame (that Palin forced on him by dragging him into the political spotlight). What he's said may be lies, certainly everyone is capable of that. My take is that he doesn't strike me as being the sharpest knife in the drawer, certainly not sophisticated. I tend to believe that there's a goodly element of truth in what he is saying based on what you can observe of Palin's personality and that's what my degree is in from uni.
Palin again is trying to discredit him, a teenage boy, by saying he's selling his body. Well that seems to be a stretch, but if he's selling his body, what the hell was she doing when she was prancing and strutting around stages in a bikini, all but naked, in those beauty pagents? Again, IMHO, add "hypocrit" to her list of political credentials.
Sorry for my long rant.
Greetz,
