in a nudity permitted place (e.i. sauna, steam room), how would you react if a person, completely unknown to you had an erection/ is aroused...

This has happened to me before. Sometimes I think that because I go to gyms in San franciso, that men are more comfortable with exhibitionism. Open sexuality here is not uncommon.

Of course, there are gyms that are more cruisy than others. I often see guys sporting wood in the showers, steam rooms and saunas. Some are actively seeking play partners, some are not.

At first, I was a little surprised but intruiged. I was like, Whoa! what's going on in here? Well, it took about a minute to figure it out. I eventually joined the game and had a few "encounters" which were mostly a friendly squeeze or a discreet hand job in the steam room.

That game got old quick for me. Now I just enjoy the view. I actually like to catch a glimps of guys discreetly grabbing a handful.

If I walk in to the steam room and see a bunch of guys covering their cocks, I usually give mine a nice tug to let everybody know that I'm not going to run and tell.

I am a member of a very large chain of gyms (24 Hour Fitness). I belong to them because they have great facilities, they are located almost world-wide and are growing in number, and my membership is now just $99 a year...lol.

But even so, I hate conversations trying to "pickup" or "curious" or whatever at the gym. I go to the gym to work out...so I usually come dressed in workout clothes, almost never shower there, and only use the sauna when I am in the mood for that and I am relatively alone. Even in a swimsuit my size is apparent, so I avoid circumstances in business public settings (and a gym is a business) that
could cause problems. Familys use the gym too. I often work out very early in the morning or very late in the evening when the crowds are less and the weights and other facilities are not so busy. I have been approached, and I am pretty sure it had something to do with my endowement, but I don't like it in that setting.
For a while, once-upon-a-time, I noticed that some guys seem to almost follow me in and out of the locker room. I varied my hours and that does not happen with regularity now, but it still does occassionally. When I go in more busy times, women are more discreet...they seem to always move to stairmaster, treadmills, or eliptic trainer machines behind me...lol. I have often just stopped and turned around and it is kind of amusing to watch the darting eyes and somewhat uncomfortable expressions.
I am not sure I would like Pamela Anderson approaching me while I am in the middle of reps...lol...but I might make an exception for her...lol. Who am I kidding...of course I would talk to her! LOL
However, when I have changed there, I know some have noticed though I have tried to be discreet and quick in changing. I can't recall ever seeing anyone "hard" there, but I haven't really been checking it out...I am just "doing my thing".
From my experiences, most women are funny about seeing and approaching me if they "know" or "suspect" how large I am. They may be curious or interested, but they are still largely not going to approach, especially without knowing me in that setting. Which I suppose is a very good thing.

I don't think it would bother me if someone got an erection in the sauna...It would only bother me or make me uncomfortable if the guy was somewhat of a perv and making some sort of pass at me...Other than that it is none of my business or concern...Personally I would cover up if I got an erection in the sauna...

I'm more of a naturalist than an exhibitionist when it comes to public nudity. So if I'd see someone aroused in public I'd likely just view it as 'natural' and not read a lot of sinister sexuality into it. Perhaps I'm naive, but it's part of my old live-and-let-live ex-hippie philosophy. Of course, I agree that an overt, public, sexual display would be out of line and uncomfortable to witness.

A hard on is a natural occurance. It's like if they sneezed. For the vast majority of situations I would suspect that who ever is hard would much prefer that they weren't. If they are rubbing one out and trying to get attention then act accordingly. There are all kinds of approaches. If your interested or indifferent respond in a fitting way. I have no problem with nudity and being oppertunistic, but there's a time and place. If it's an adult only area then I would be a lot less concerned that if a kid could walk in. No one has a right to make a child grow up faster than they need to. I think that if there is a chance (even the slightest) of a kid seeing something sexual, then you need another venue. I would not have a problem with it since an erection is natural. And yes, I would look. Certainly, if the guy was sitting there in the locker room or sauna noticeably making himself aroused and did not stop, I'd mind my own business, finish up, and go.
