Luke Macfarlane

Well, in the article itself he says he's heterosexual despite also saying something about fluidity lol

I asked if Hall had ever had same-sex experiences himself.

“I think there’s a spectrum. I am on it. I’m heterosexual. But if there was a percentage, I would say I was not all the way heterosexual. I think playing the emcee required me to fling a bunch of doors wide open because that character I imagined as pansexual.” He laughed. “Yeah, like I made out with Michael Stuhlbarg every night doing that show. I think I have always leaned into any fluidity in terms of my sexuality.”

Has he ever had sex with another man?

“I’ve never had an intimate relationship with a man. I think, maybe because of an absent father, there has definitely been a craving for an emotional intimacy with a man. I don’t mean to suggest that an emotional relationship between a father and son is any way homoerotic. I mean an emotional intimacy or connection that at least in the milieu I grew up in was considered fey. I had an appetite to have emotional connections with men beyond beer, sports, and fist pumping that were considered ‘gay.’”

Was he ever attracted to other men?

“No. I mean, I was attracted to John Cameron Mitchell when I saw Hedwig. But no, as a rule I am heterosexual.”

Jonathan Groff? Colton Haynes? Neil Patrick Harris? Jonathan Bennett? Matt Bomer? Cheye*nne Jack*son? An*drew Ran*nells? Chris Salvatore? Zachary Quinto? Luke Evans? Wentworth Miller? Reid Ewing? Tyler Blackburn? Tyler Posey? Nico Tortorella? Michael C. Hall? Ben Aldrige?
Speaking of which. Seems like a perfect time to shamelessly promote my thread here. ;)

Ah, none of these guys are box office. Even less so than Billy

Or just use a bankable straight actor tbh, I don't see why some gay guys get up in arms about a straight guy playing gay, I don't care as long as they're convincing.
Jim parsons played a straight man for 12 seasons. He ain’t complaining

Billy would never agree to that. His entire premise was all caps ALL OUT GAY ACTORS in a rom com. So there's that.

Luke has been really quiet since Billy's social media outburst after the disappointing opening weekend numbers. Seems that he has been more or less a sidebar to Billy all along - most interviews I saw had Billy doing all the talking and Luke sitting there looking nice and speaking when he was asked a question. I think it's his style to be more low key (another reason to like him), and Billy can be pretty.......overpowering. Just wondering what Luke thinks about all this turmoil.......

So there’s no plot right?
There is. It's actually not a bad plot (for a rom-com), but a fairly typical rom-com plot while being influenced and colored by gay culture and gay reality of the two characters. Nothing groundbreaking obviously, but that's not what ppl who watch rom-coms go for.

Frankly, Billy and whoever made the trailers really should have marketed it around the actual plot with it being the 1ST GAY ROM-COM BY A MAINSTREAM STUDIO!!!!!!! being advertised as a footnote at most.

colored is a choice word, especially given the main characters

100%, seriously it being the first all gay cast isn't something most people care about, just show some of the plot and quips and maybe make people interested in the actual content rather than making it about how progressive it is or whatever lol
