Makeup

Please define 'normal'.

What is normal for me is WAY under-made up for many. What is normal to them is full on evening wear make up for me.

There is no normal. 'Normal' is as subjective as 'too much'.

And no, I won't resect your opinion - your opinion is offensive to me. I'll defend your right to express it freely as ardently as I defend my right to respond to it but I will not respect it.

And why should I respect your opinion when you clearly don't respect the opinions of those disagreeing with you? 'Try not to be too feminist?' That's respecting our opinions? No, you are dismissing our opinions but you want yours respected. At least be consistent. Or fuck off. Fucking off is always an option.

of course its an opinion, I have mine about the ideal woman.

and too much literally means more than normal, when soft make up are lot better. (another opinion of mine)

OP usually means 'original post'-- in this case, the question at the beginning by Mlle Rouge.

You may have opinions all you like, and just don't then say other opinions are 'disrespect' just because they are different.

Maybe your 'ideal woman' is reading this!

So ladies, which product could you NOT live without when it comes to makeup?
Eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara. I have great eyes so I like to bring them out a little. When I leave the house without eyeliner I feel out of place, not really myself.

Which product do you NEVER use?
Foundation! I haaaate the feeling of it on my face. Even if I sometimes want to lose the freckles for an evening, I can't be bothered with foundation all over my face, so I just keep them ^^

I couldn't live with out lip gloss. I have a pretty nice collection of them. I can't stand to have chapped lips or peeling lips of any kind but chap stick to me feels too dry so lipgloss it is.

A product I never use is foundation, no matter what kind it is my face always feels greasy and my pores get clogged and I hate dealing with it because I forget I have it on touch my face and it rubs off onto my fingers. It's just a general mess and I avoid it.

Mascara!!!!!!!

Which product do you NEVER use?

Lipstick, foundation, blush.

Basically, anything that covers my skin. It's bad enough that I have to wear sunscreen (absolutely have to), but foundation makes me look AWFUL!!!!! I envy women who can wear foundation and get that smooth, alabaster look. Just ain't happening for me. I console myself by telling myself that my light splattering of freckles is part of what makes me ME.

And I swore I would never EVER wear lipstick because my mom looked like a ghost at night when she would take it off.

Blush! Even if I don't have time for base, I little blush makes me feel good, and really does improve the appearance of my skin.

I use everything. There is nothing I won't use. Typically I wear concealer, foundation, pressed powder, blush, brow pencil, liquid liner, three shades of shadow, mascara, two shades of blush, lip liner, lipstick and lip gloss if I'm doing the whole works. I also curl my lashes. If I'm just doing the basics, I'll do concealer, foundation, pressed powder, eyebrow pencil, liquid liner, mascara and lip gloss. I still curl my eyelashes. Those are the days on which I get tons of compliments on my skin. If I just need a quick mood boost before running out, I do brow pencil, blush, liquid liner, mascara, and gloss.

I always moisturize at least twice before putting on makeup.

For all you lipgloss/chapstick fans, this stuff is the best stuff ever!

Maybelline Baby Lips: Beauty Lab

This is my favourite lip balm. It's wonderfully soft and silky stuff. Unfortunately, they stopped making my favourite flavour many years ago, and most of the current flavours are too sweet for me, but it's still the best lip balm out there IMO.

i love that baby stuff! (by maybelline)

i discovered in a cleaning frenzy (before thanksgiving holiday) a bag of makeup i had forgotten about. it has some chanel lipsticks, powder, an eyebrow pencil (i guess it would work as eyeliner too). one of the chanel lipsticks is a really nice natural color i happen to like. i guess i like the eyebrow pencil too. it is in a color called espresso and the opposite end has a smudgy thingy which i like. this stuff is so old, about 15 years old. does this stuff go bad?

oh subgirrl, you might like to try labelo. color & shine category.

this one is my favorite

http://int.labello.com/products/color-and-shine/strawberry

it doesn't add bright color, it looks completely natural and is super silky

On most make-up you can find a sign and a mention on how long to keep it after opening. (such as this)

I wouldn't worry about lipstick, it won't go "bad", but it could have changed in texture (less easy to apply, not as stay-on as it used to be,...)
Mascara or anything that was already opened and came into contact with your eyes I would throw away. That's usually only kept for 6 months. You can actually smell the make-up and if it doesn't smell good, better be safe and get rid of it. But dry powder or eye shadow and the like could still be workable :)
(Though 15 years might be a bit much... :p)

I could not live without ALL of my eye make up. 90% off my entire makeup collection is all eye shadow, lol. I LOVE doing my eye makeup, and other people's eye make up. The eye lid is like an open canvas, and you can do sooooo many interesting things with sooooo many different colors. Eye contact is super important to me, so I believe the more attention is drawn to my eyes, the better.

Products I never use are most face makeups. I frankly do not need them. My skin is normally a bit dry and very sensitive, so I end up putting some moisturizer on, and a little powder over the oilier looking areas. I am very fair skinned, so bronzer and blush are definitely not right on me. Liquid face makeup is just nasty, so I never use that either.
