I am giving an opinion on a message board, not writing for a doctorate.
Some people can clearly see the point without needing the thesis, some people, true to type, will just attack and be negative.
This is where you're blind, if Rob started a Men's Issues Forum then he could put all the threads that drive the women nuts into a compressed folder out of your view and out of your way, which is what's already being done with the Women's Issues Forum.
This would free up much needed space for broader ideas to expand and grow on the site.
Thus, the men don't have to bother with Women's Issues and the same for the women, they won't have to bother with all the Men's Issues which would lead to a less frustrating site.
You don't think men and women can or want to help with each other's issues?

Like I said, if you could give me an example of something fitting for your proposed forum, I would completely support you 100%. However, if your suggestion is to simply move the threads "not wanted" in the Women's Issues forum into a new Men's Issues forum, then what you're essentially suggesting is that we take them out of one forum they don't belong in and move them to another they don't belong in...

Right, I don't want to speak too soon, but I think we might be getting somewhere here...
I think the problem we're having is that you're not understanding the meaning of the forum headings we're discussing!
Women's Issues - Issues pertaining to women, that women have, that aren't appropriate for any other forum
Men's Issues - Issues pertaining to men, that men have, that aren't appropriate for any other forum
"Is my dig big enough" to take your example doesn't fit in either of those groups. This is neither a male nor female issue, as each individual has their own opinion on size (or no opinion on it in my case) But it may very well fit into the proposed "Ask a Woman Anything" forum that Rob plans on providing, and I'm sure the case could be made for an "Ask a Man Anything" forum, so the question can be asked to the specific target group, which also avoids all the complaints the mod forum get when straight men ask women something and men reply (it's like they haven't noticed there are men on here!)
It's a difficult topic, and Rob isn't going to be able to keep everyone happy, that's for sure lol
I disagree and can provide links to many posts in that forum of female posters being friendly, encouraging, helpful and leg-humpy with male posters.
Certain people who ask questions that don't fit there, take an attitude that is offensive or just plain act like spoiled brats get shown no mercy. As I said recently - these people are more likely to be men because there are more men here than women. Were there as many women here as men I'm sure we'd see equal numbers of fucking idiots of both sexes.

The question is finding where it fits, I can agree to that. It's tough trying to sqeeze something thick into a small hole, that's something I understand well.

I'm not saying a Men's Issues forum is a bad thing - but I too am amongst those who can't see what would go in it that doesn't already have a home here. Maybe if there were some examples of what the forum would contain there would be less scepticism?
I'm also struggling to see the double standards - if a woman wanted to discuss, I don't know mammogram experiences and posted it in 'Healthy Penis', it would be moved to 'Women's Issues'. This is in the same way other posts are moved from Women's Issues to Relationships, etc.
One of the main problems seems to be (and this is only my opinion) that some threads get started in the Women's Issue's forum in an attempt to solicit responses from women - not because they are 'women's issues'. Sometimes this is even acknowledged by the OP who started the thread.
Herein lies part of the problem - a proportion of the women steer clear of 'Sex With A Large Penis' and the other forums on purpose - they know where to find it if they want it, they just don't want it for whatever reason - be it general tone of the forum, specific posters, whatever.
Yes, this may reduce the number of women who will see/respond to posts, but to deliberately post an unsuitable thread in Women's Issues is kind of forcing it down people's throats and implies that because someone desires a response from women, the women are under an obligation to provide one. I honestly think that the 'Ask a Woman' forum will make a huge difference - that way if someone wants to target their question to women they can and those women minded to respond can.
