Cuz he competed on Mr Gay World South Africa. It says it all in the title. But im betting the "he dates his photographer." is BS.
Anyways here's an interview. I havent watched it yet but it pretty much confirms it.

He recently moved to Dubai and is staying with Oliver Forslin (though Oliver is straight). But there’s just so much sexiness in that house!

Um. A lot of gay people (expats especially) live in Dubai. It’s in the middle east but UAE is extremely modern and particularly Dubai is quite open minded for foreigners, cause that’s where a lot of the city’s money comes from.
I’m more confused as to how he moved there and his circle is all very straight, like Oliver Forslin.
There is still death penalty for gays in Dubai.
In a way, it is morally wrong of him to be there.
But the exception is that he is not a commoner. He is in an exclusive circle, almost certainly a circle rich Dubaiyan men are part of too where there is, with no doubt, a lot of same-sex stuff going on. A wealthy circle where the homophobic rules don't apply and all sort of same-sex activities take place.
Those prices on his cameo are a joke but I see some people fell for it. Shame.
