Nude beach where erection is ok

The nude beach that myself and my missus often frequent is a kinda unofficial nude beach but infamous for it for decades, it's cut off from the rest of the coast being a small cove and can only be accessed by a small cliff path or by boat. It's not very big but a big enough beach for people to enjoy, as it's unofficial there are no rules however everyone pretty much respects the naturist rules, it's not a place for hedonism.
It's used by young and old both naturist and swingers, there's a little more social interaction than your official places and nobody minds a little showing off for display between couples but not as far as getting an erection.
If a couple is a little frisky which me and the wife often are you can go to one side of the beach where you turn a corner around some rocks if the tide is out enough where it's secluded and has a couple of small caves where people have a little fun, but if we actually meet a couple that are looking for fun we always leave and go elsewhere.
It seems to work well for everyone and is certainly the most relaxed beach I've been to but as I said it's unofficial.

It's too bad that so many people associate nudity and sex. I have gone to a nudist camping experience. It was depressing to put clothes back on after being nude for a week. I know I'm a bit off topic, so erections are bound to happen. Just minimize the exposure, let it subside and have a good time enjoying the beach.

I have never been to a nude beach, but I think it would be an exciting experience. I probably would enjoy seeing everybodys goodies and become quite aroused. I would try to stay to myself and wait until the obvious arousal subsided, as walking around with a throbbing erection would be awkward.

There are a few islands off the coast of Croatia that tolerate people having sex on the nudist beaches. My ex girlfriend put it into practice when we visited one.

Deliberate erections when practicing the lifestyle of no clothes has no place in nudism. Nudism is about making a choice to not wear clothes when we would otherwise do so. Not to further our sexual prowess or to get quick sex. As other members have stipulated, it's hard enough to keep nudist beaches open yet it takes one or two pointed letters to councils about sexual acts etc to close them. Having been a dedicated nudist for over 30 years now, I have no objections to men getting spontaneous erections because that's simply the nature of the beast, however, decorum and respect never goes astray and certainly furthers the cause of a lovely lifestyle.

Nudity is fun.
Sex is a fun.
Why not to combine?
Combine it all you want in private or out of sight, but respect others who do not want to see it in front of them as they are trying to enjoy a family day at the nude beach.

One of the benefits of being old is that I had the chance to experience Hippy- Hollow near Austin back in the late 70s. It is one of those classic examples where “they paved paradise and put in a parking lot”.

Early on Hippy Hollow was just a stretch of very rugged shoreline along Lake Travis west of Austin. The gays took their business to the far end of the beach area and couldn’t be seen from either the straight gathering area or the small gravel beach where families gathered.

This is back when gays were just discovering that there were other gays in the world.

Austin had a huge gay college population and they were eager to decorate the big rocks that lined the shore. Some folks were lucky enough to have friends with party boats setting just a bit off shore.

If you had the interest you could just float out and possibly be invited to join a boatload of other nude guys. For the most part things didn’t get too rude, but there were always one or two guys who needed some help with their erection. They got in a corner so the lake patrol couldn’t see them and worked it out. Everyone else just enjoyed the new reality of being nude with people who saw the world like you did.

In short the community discovered the site and the parks people literally cleared a parking lot and installed parking meters. They also built sidewalks along the shore, which destroyed the privacy gays had from straights and that both had from the family area.

Today it still has a clothing optional beach (only one in TX) but is highly patrolled. Lots of pics at:

I'm still amazed how incredulous people are when it comes to believing it's only the gay guys that play up on the "naughty" end of any nude beach. 80-90% of the guys are heterosexual or bi men. Gay men can get sex pretty much anywhere they know other gays guy go. Whereas the Str8 folk hide their true feelings and desires regarding male sexual contact and thus use quick fix areas like nudist beaches etc. Gay, Str8 or Bi, nude beaches are not for sexual romps.

An erection is a natural reaction in a guy for any number of reasons. At a nude beach it shouldn't be hidden away like an embarrassment!
I do think sexual activity is something that should be avoided unless there is a place where it can go on where others who don't want to witness this can avoid it. Lumping all men who have an erection with perv and those seeking sex is just wrong.

Agreed. I was just at Little Beach on Tuesday and observed quite a few hard cocks amongst the nude sunbathers there. Nobody raised a fuss of course because it’s just a normal thing. There were quite a few hard nipples amongst the female sunbathers as well.

I appreciate that some people don't want to see any sex around them, or have their families see it. On the other hand, as has been said, sex is natural and beautiful, and many people on a nude beach would have it if they were allowed. I have only one phrase, which disproves all of the silly puritans who have posted here saying real nudists do not allow anything sexual -- Cape D'agde in the South of France. Half the beach is for people who don't want to see sex, half the beach is for continuous sexual activity. The place is wonderful.

Check into the history of cape D'agde before its current swinger ownership back in the 70s or earlier and you will find open sex was not the norm. The nudist life style is not about sex. I am not a silly puritan or I would not have been a regular nude beach user for many years.

One -- your historical point proves that progress is possible.
Two - YOUR nudist life style is not about sex. YOU are free to go to all sorts of places that ban anything sexual, even an erection that lasts more than a few seconds. MY nudist life style can include sex, and I practice it at places where it is appropriate... which I won't mention here in fear of the onslaught of puritanism.

I get where you are coming from, you are a sexually active person and rightly so too, it is part of who we are, but, not all of who we are. Pdxjoe is correct about nudism though, it is not about sex. It never was. As sentient beings that can conceptualise, we have a choice to make anything about anything but nudism in it's purist form, it is not about exploring or exploiting anything sexual. Ok, times have changed, social values forever changing (which is good otherwise we would be stuck in the dark ages fearing the wrath of a god when lightning strikes) and over the decades sexual nudists have filtered into the nudist fraternity. This however does not mean that the definition of nudism should be rewritten to include free love, sex and frivolities. People who frequent nudist beaches where sex can be seen or enjoyed, whether just looking or participating, are just succumbing to their raw sexual selves simply because it is there and they are allowed to. If you want to go into the psychology of why people participate in that, you may not like the end result, but on one level alone, it is the ultimate exhibitionism. A means to prove something to themselves. Indeed, for man, to prove their sexual worth. On another, it is a vent for sexual fantasies to come true.

Don't forget, sex in it's rawest form is about procreation. About furthering the race which can or cannot be about about having sex in front of all and sundry. Anything outside that is involves the ego running wild, convincing the person that they need sex that is so enjoyable, the ego loves to convince the mind it is needed and of course we freely and often blindly, follow. There are many flaws in the human psyche and body and two of which for us men is this insatiable need for sex and the ability for us to keep on producing sperm well past our prime. The human body has not evolved at the same rate of which our minds are finding new ways to hold off death. So in eons gone by, where we rarely lived past 30, now we can live past 80-90. With this though, we have not learnt the responsibility of procreation and hence forth we now have massive over population issues. We live our lives following our desires and irresponsibly flaunt our sexual prowess even in social situations (nudist beaches) which goes against the morals of society in which we abide by and live happily within.

Nudism though, does not mean we stop being human. However there are responsibilities to nudist and general societies to behave in a manner in which does not offend public and personal decencies. I get aroused often because I had inadvertently allow my mind to wander to something sexual, however I either quickly cover up or freely let it do as it needs to do in private situations. Being a gay man I have no issues with seeing an erect penis and can appreciate how it "just happens", what I object too is men purposely displaying themselves.

Just because someones nudism includes open sexual expression whether be in a private group or in the public domain, this does not make it right. To me, people who participate in such activities are not Nudists at all and should not wear the title proudly. Instead, they should state they like to get NAKED. When push comes to shove, there is a fine line between the two.
