Shaving naked in front of others

There are a few college guys at my gym who will shave naked in the bathroom mirror between the time they leave the sauna and take a shower. It's quite hot, as they all break the stereotype about young guys being more prudish than generations before (although in general, this is still the case).

They are generally there during non-peak times, so at most, there will be like 3-4 guys who will see them. I don't stare because I see them naked in the sauna/shower literally almost every day since we're all gym regulars. If it was a one off occasion where I wasn't a member of the gym, or some new guy came and did it, I would definitely take a few peaks.

It's nice to hear that some guys are gaining the confidence (or regaining it) to shave nude in public like this. The more that do it, the more this will become normal behaviour again and we'll all just accept each other.

Did this while staying at a hostel (One80 I think) in Germany. I traveled with a small quick drying towel so it didn't take up much space, but it barely wrapped around my waist, so I would just throw it over my shoulder after a shower. There was a cute German guy in the shower too, looked like he was 18, and spoke barely any English. He was shaving at the sink in a towel, and I came up to the one next to him naked. I began shaving, but slowly started to get hard. I could see him looking out of the corner of his eyes, probably since I was circumcised and he wasn't, and both of my hands were busy with shaving, so I didn't really know how to cover up. I also didn't want to touch the sink ceramic, so I was backing up and bending over slightly to conceal my boner. I was completely hard by the time I was done shaving.

I have thought that shaving in the nude was just the way you did it. One day I was shaving in a locker room, where frankly there was no one but me. A man came in; I had my towel wrapped around my neck. He said, "Would you mind covering that thing up. There's lots of germs around here." I was shocked. Didn't expect that. When I was younger, this is just what we did. Why would you want to get your clothes wet?

I got told by a manager that someone complained and that it wasn't acceptable to be in just your underwear or naked in the locker room, that you should use a towel. I asked if he had a scissors and then cut my membership card up and gave it to him. I still get emails every week asking me to join up again.

I disagree. Not every guy can have the body of Adonis. We all come in different sizes, shapes and colors. Every guy should be allowed to enjoy the freedom of being nude in a men's locker room without the fear of body shaming from others.

Just as with clothes, people should know what looks good on them and what looks horrendous.
