I've seen the 1st and only season of Spartacus and the Prequel I think it was six episodes early this year. Won't see more of the show until next year and they find Andy Whitfields replacement (I'd have loved to have seen him naked!!)...

I remember the episode myself. She had them all drop their clothes and had her pick. She chose a hot one!! Most of them are hot in their own way....also, Liam is a nice lookin guy yes and he'll do well (maybe he will do frontal, Andy never did) but I'll still miss Andy!

There are several threads here about Spartacus already.

The thing I like most about the series is the fight choreography. It's got a lot of Chinese and Thai influences and still keeps a lot of the usual Western aspects too. This is totally separate from the bloody-ness of the sequences themselves. That's just unnecessary in my opinion, but you get used to it after the first 15 gallons or so.

^^^ I agree with the second part of this post. What I really find disturbing, and not true to the time period this show is based, is that it lacks the accurate portrayal of male on male love. They show plenty of scenes of female on female action, but treat the men who engage in homosexual acts like they are modern "gay" characters. It was common back then for the kings, and men in positions of power to have male lovers and not see anything wrong with two men engaging in sexual activity. None of that is shown here, but they have no problem showing male nudity. It's sorta sad.

Both series are out on DVD and they're really worth owning. And not just for the eye candy and the sexy muscular studs. The stories are actually interesting and the actors and actresses delivers great performances, especially Lucy Lawless. :wink:
