Hey Guys,

I had testicular cancer at an early age, and ended up losing my right testicle. I'm keen to have an implant (replacement), but wanted to get others opinions on this first on the following points:
1. Which ones are better?
2. What do they feel like?
3. Has anyone on here got one?
4. Complications

If anyone has any advice or suggestions or has any other questions I may have omitted...please feel free to comment or ask questions.

Thanks

I had what was suspected to be cancer but was not, thank goodness! When the doctor removed the testicle for testing he went ahead and installed a prosthesis from a company named AART which is located in the U.S. I've had no problems with it whatsoever and am glad I got it. My health insurance paid for it as part of the surgery.

Hey Guys,
Thank you for your responses so far. I look forward to reading more!

@Dave, thank you for your input. What is the prosthesis you have from AART made of and what does it feel like? Unfortunately, when I lost my testicle at age 11, it wasn't advisable to do the implant simultaneously.
Also, unfortunately, our health insurances in South Africa don't cover them or the operation either as they consider them to be cosmetic.

Thanks again

whatever you decide its a personal choice (and I chose not to), you look pretty cool as you are

well if you're still sexually active...some people...most... may get creeped out by an empty sac. It's all about aesthetics. Here is a forum for people that have or are getting. Pros and cons... I even know people that have gotten Neuticals ...the ones made for pets put in...*to get the horse or bull size* :) *looks HOT!*

Why bother with the implants If your balls have to be removed just why not just leave it with an empty sack

Years and years ago my Great grandfather had testicular implants. Being it was so long ago they used baby onions.

He said it worked great except that every time he went by a Hamburger stand he'd get an erection.

I'm not right I know.

These days it is common to encounter guys with testicles the size of raisens due to use of steroids! Look at the muscle studs in gay porn! Most of them appear to not have any nuts at all. I was with a guy who had one artificial ball and it was hard and cold. It was about twice the size of the real one. It made a nice "bulge".

I agree with OC Muscle on this one. Definitely get the implant. I am not an implant patient, but I do know two other men that are. There are men who have lost both for various reasons and many years ago I had some fun with a guy my age who had lost both to a land mine in Viet Nam. The only thing I saw was some scarring on his upper legs and in truth I did not know until I knew him better that what was in the bag was prosthetic.

The sad part is that as has been said that most insurance companies will pay for the prosthesis at the time the removal was done, I am wondering why this was not the case when yours was done.

Good Luck with your upcoming procedure. . . . . .

ok...adressing the shrinking testicles due to steroids... FOR those that take or plan on taking...or just wondering. YOU can take NORMAL amounts of anabolics for a specified amount of time without permanently effecting your ball size. A majority of the time..if there is ANY shrinkage..your balls will go back to normal when the cycle is over...once you get your test lvls back to normal. IF! IF you do the proper regiment of Post cycle therapy and do not over do dosage or keep cycling continiously. LOTS and LOTS of false comments about anabolics out there. The ones usually that have issues are ones with pre existing conditions and take steroids on top of these issues. The sad thing is...a lot of people do not even know if they have issues that steroids will enhance, because they do not get hormone lvls checked or even know their current health status. Sigh. ANYWAY, back to the balls... *eg*... Even if you've had shrinkage or dmg ...you can get "nut cups", which go around the existing testicle... they just fit it like a ball cozy. :) They are silicone as well..but do not require you losing the balls you have to get them. I have a friend that has had his done twice....*first time they were too big and he had to size the implant down.* His scrotum didnt relax enough to him ..and didnt feel they looked right. *I thought they looked great* but I have a ball fetish. :)

This is being encountered for a number of reasons. If the person is on anabolics for the wasting syndrome associated with HIV infection the quality of care varies greatly. The "good" MD's using this manage the use of these compounds correctly. The bad ones do not and as a result they do create a number of problems.

Managed properly, use of A/S will not shrink testicles and not all A/S will shrink them anyway. I was on HRT up and until my MD passed away last year. The treatment regimen I was under was a combination of two different injections and a cream. One of the injections was a compound called HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) and I would do a round of that every 90 days. My testicle size is far above average and I never did experience any kind of shrinkage. I knew what to do when my MD died and tapered off things and will remain off everything until I can find another MD willing to do this correctly. On HRT do it right and you're great, do it wrong and you make more problems than you had before.

I had outstanding treatment from my now deceased MD. I hope I can find another one as good.

I've had one for over 10 years...took me a good year to get adjusted to it, but not in a physical way, just the fact that one of my balls was fake!

No sexual partner has ever noticed or commented. I always tell them afterwards...most think its cool. It does feel harder than than my real testicle, but it looks the same. I'd rather have a fake one than just look lopsided

On a side note, when i lost my testicle (not from cancer), the area on my scrotum where the incision was made has been really sensitive, in a good way, ever since

Good luck with it - hope you get the advice you're looking for

First off let me say that it's a relief to know that they caught your cancer in time, that you still have one functioning testicle and that you (presumably) don't need hormone therapy. And I certainly agree with 1958ST that your gorgeous cock looks just fine the way things currently are. I still have both of the testicles I was born with so can only guess what I would do were I in your shoes. But my guess is that I would go for the prosthesis.

... It's all about aesthetics ...

I agree that aesthetics is a large part of the equation, the human eye loves symmetry and there's just something so sexy about a nice symmetrical pair of nuts. But my own are quite low hanging and they really get involved in the action when I'm fucking. The feel of my balls slapping my partner's flesh is very sexually rewarding to me and I sense that a large part of the sensation is delivered by the scrotum itself. While a prosthetic testicle would impart no sensation of its own it might well add to the enjoyment of what the scrotum does and feels. As long as the surgical risk of complications is low I'm sure I'd go for it, even at $1500.

I'm curious if the implant is tied down inside the scrotum, or is it simply placed inside to move around freely?
If I was ever in need of an implant, I would opt for the super sized model. :)
