my doc told me to take 2000 mg a day. i would do some studying b4 overdoing it. you can cause major problems taking too much:wink:

well wether you buy 1000, 5000 or 10 000 or, 25 000 iu or , on the box it sais take 1 a day, so i dont think there is a recommended dosage.... taking up to 50 000 a day isnt dangerous unless you have certain illneses.

There are recent new studies that indicate it is apparently very easy for some people to overdose on Vit D which brings for them a whole host of fairly serious negative side effects, regrdless of wether they have undelying health issues, not a lot of commercial enterpises would sponsor the publication of the information though.

thats why its better to be very carefull of the overhyped supplements industry and utilise natures own way, when they make the fantastic claims just think of a Victorian quack "doctor" that sells his wares at travelling fairgrounds claiming cures for every conceivable illness or malaise, its a very accurate description albeit in modern times the presentation has become more subtle and sophisticated
 
i have to take vitamin d because i have a rare condition where my body is unable to absorb it from the sun. i'm at 3000 ui's. i have been at higher dossages up to 8000 ui's and it caused sever weight lose. 20 pounds in two weeks. and i developed calcium deposits under my eyes that made me look like toad skin. I dropped down to my now current dossage the calcium deposits are gone and my weight is heathy again.
I'm lucky as overdose amounts can cause even further harmfull conditions.
Please check with your physician as to what the benefits if ant d will do for your intention to use it and at what dossage will be safe for you to take.
My physcian diagnosed me and prescribe the correct dossage that keeps me in a healthy check.

Actually no. Vitamins measured in milligrams are water soluble and ARE pissed out. Whatever your body doesn't need it gets rid of which usually means bright yellow piss. Vitamins measured in iu's are fat soluble vitamins and your body stores them which is one of the things that can cause problems. 50k iu's is a LOT of D.

I'd like to go up to 50.000 iu but I'm around 10.000 iu a day since 1000 iu a pill is the max they sell here.

Came across the importance of vitamin D because I was researching skincancer and sunscreen, as the use of it actually increases skincancer by reducing vitamin D intake and trashing your body with preservative chemicals.

Now I'm researching it online and study says it helps with virtually anything from fat loss to preventing cancer and now finding out making your dick bigger by 10%.

If anything I don't understand why worldwide governments say we should have only 200 iu daily as it prevents and helps cure with ANYTHING and should reduce healthcare costs by a lot.
