I gave up my car because I didn't need it in the big city. TIt was too costly for parking, insurance, etc. It was cheaper to rent or use the
company car!
I had a 1957 Silver Triumph TR2, 2 seater convertable, which the previous
owner purchaed new in 1957. He sent it to London to be completely restored to "like new" status in the Triumph factory. Due to his sickness,
he had to sell it and I bought it the year after the restoration and it's return to the States.
This was the last model before it came out with real doors and roll up
and down windows. After I purchased it, I had it painted with a Rolls Royce Silver Paint, which I ordered from a Rolls dealership in London. It had brand new black leather seats, a new black canvas top and new, removable black canvas and plastic window side curtains.
Wow, how I loved that car, and hated having to sell it. I miss it every day!
And, no. I wouldn't be considered as hung, but I like it and it has never received a complaint or has it been refused what it wanted. I try to take care of it so it will be good to me.
