I know...how many times b4 it sinks in that Gerrard and Lampard just don't work well together? Alternate them mebbe (if Gerrard wasn't captain), but Lampard should just be Stevie's understudy. Fans have been saying this for at least 2 yrs, grr.
I think he chose a conservative team to go to SA. Walcott shoulda been picked - and Carragher is gettin on a bit now. Maybe a slightly more exciting team choice (more younger players who are trying to gain a reputation, rather than protect one). Also, why only bring Crouch on late in the game?

I'd suggest giving Joe Hart a chance, but I don't think his England debut went all that well either. :/

My guess is that the English squad comes out and wins the game with Slovenia like 3-1. if only to prevent being put on the rack if they go home after being exited in the first round.

Thanks for all the responses. Yes, it was likely extreme frustration talking as he is extremely football oriented. But still, you do not use that particular word with me and escape the consequences.
These last few days some teams are at last eliminated. Makes things a bit saner IMO.
