Portuguese people are some of the darkest Europeans, they're still unambiguously white.
It's much easier when you go along with the rest of the world and accept that there are blacks, whites and mixed people in between.
Two dark skinned people can have a child that is lighter than both of them. Genetics is a fickle thing, dude. Even sun exposure and environment affect color and also gene expression.
Yes, you googled a picture of white people and that came up, but a lived-in reality would reveal that you'll find people of varying skin tones in Europe and also throughout Africa with them having unmixed ancestry... Due to what I just said. You just need a larger population size to see it.
