Jay Hefner (Saiveon Hopkins) really got no business being dead, bro
Honestly, my mind lands on this brotha every couple of weeks ever since news broke of his murder last September & nearly a year on, I'm still in disbelief. Not just because he was great eye candy, but because of the man he showed himself to be in his very brief time on this planet
Whether it was his openness & acceptance of his gay fans, or his "by any means necessary" approach (via porn) to financially taking care of his sick mother & siblings, how proud he was as a new father, or how he unfortunately exited this life by protecting his cousin from being shot. That's the kind of character you just can't manufacture or fake
I never got to meet him in person, but if you've ever had the pleasure of tapping into one of his OF lives, you'd know he was a real one--a genuine good guy & you can't really say the same for many other OF entertainers
I consider myself a pretty good judge of character & I can tell when someone is putting on or just going through the motions so they can hit their monetary goal. Saiveon wasn't like that--far from it (and I still have those lives to prove it)
I was apprehensive in subbing to his OF due to not being sure of what to expect (and the $30 fee), but I was like, "This mf FINE as hell!" Needless to say, I caved & let my curiosity/horniness get the best of me. In today's OF climate of agencies & DM chatbots, that would probably be the grounds for instant regret, but this was 2022: The platform was hitting it's stride & Jay/Saiveon immediately struck me as very welcoming, personable, & cool. Like, almost too cool to being doing porn. His personality just radiated in convos like an old friend you haven't seen since high school or something.
Again, he was very aware of his gay fans & would often share stories of his experiences growing up & the industry sometimes hours before even asking for tips. On top of that, I had no idea he was as young as he was at the time (21 turning 22). I honestly thought bro was like pushing 30. So, the level of candor he exhibited in those lives really spoke volumes of a maturity beyond his years. Years he'd be robbed of.
Saiveon was also a man of his word. Even with his popularity rising, he was really hands-on in operating his account & wasn't out here tryna scam his fans like many OF creators have proven themselves to be. If we tipped & had to miss a live due to needing to get up for work the next day or whatever, he would say he'd make it his mission to ensure we received the video in our DM the following day. On two occasions, for me, bro delivered.
Funny story:
I only subbed once because although he'd show the cakes, he was adamant about NOT showing that bootyhole. lol. What can I say? That's kinda my thing (my main reason for subbing actually) and if I'm paying $30 + tips, I mean...
Myself & several others asked why he wouldn't spread the cheeks, he said it just wasn't something he was comfortable doing--even going as far as telling us he would have the editor of his films blur it out of certain scenes. I thought that seemed a bit extreme, but I totally respect people's boundaries enough not to press the issue further (although I've seen it since then
)
--But man, he really was just a beautiful brotha obviously on the outside, but more importantly, on the inside.
He had so much going for him; a life beyond porn, though he was damn good at it & got me off PLENTY of times (thanks, brodie!) Job well done.
Seriously tho, I hope his family is holding up & healing. My heart breaks for the daughter that will never know him. I just feel it was important to get out how solid this brotha was
