Don't cheapen the concept of free speech by getting into an argument about the deletion of what you say by those who find it offensive and are in a position to rid the board of said content. There may be cases where I would defend what you have to say, but their prerogative to delete what you write trumps all. People have fought and died defending my right to free speech. Don't dishonor their sacrifices by mentioning it within this context; it just...doesn't...FIT!!! If you don't like what happens here, the web is glutted with free blogspaces where you can set up your own forum and bash away at whomever or whatever you choose as a target. When a thread disappears, you abuse the concept of "rights" when you say that your "rights" have somehow been violated by the person or persons who deleted it. Most of it's drivel, anyway.

I've been a member of this board for almost four years and have yet to read anything here that I felt remotely deserved to be recorded for posterity. There may be some self-important, self-aggrandizing, narcisstic cunts who disagree with me, but I just don't give a shit what you think. You, and whatever passes for thought in your confused little brain, are not as important as you believe.

The problem we have here isn't with deleted posts. The problem lies in a generalized lack of respect for ideas, and a great deal of confusion about what an idea actually is. HERE'S the big IDEA: PRIVATE PROPERTY.

First of all, what are you talking about being advertised, and where? I could be wrong, but I haven't seen any advertising for this site. But then, I've found the place and haven't been looking for it lately.

Second of all, even paying members are held to reasonable standards of conduct in any kind of "club" or group situation. Who decides what's reasonable? THE OWNER.

My ignorance is quite civilized, thank you very much, and every day I do what I can to beat it back. Show me some evidence that you are trying to do the same for yourself.

In other words, there seems to be no rhyme or reason why Poster A is not "banned"... while Posters B & C get banned for similar offenses. The playing field seems to be unequal.


Like a good defense lawyer, AlteredEgo laid out a well-thought out case. I appreciated its balance and sense of fairness. It presented good opportunities for member debate. So, that's why I felt a bit rattled to see the thread so conveniently disappeared.

I mean, we have some of the most innane threads here... Like "Sucking Off a Sleeping Straight Dude" (which is, of course, technically, endorsing rape). Why do rape threads stand yet AlteredEgo's post quietly whisked away? Why not be able to argue out a real authentic LPSG dilemma as AlteredEgo so thoughtfully presented?

In this instance it is a case of putting something in the correct forum. The purpose of this thread was for moderators and administrators not member discussion.

To clarify for you, I used to pay for my gold membership. I will not go into the details of why I discontinued that. And really, whether or not I pay is between the site owner and me, it has nothing to do with you.

I've not had a quarrel with you before, but I really do not appreciate the tone you have taken toward me in this thread.
