If you've seen this torso on the internet over the years, I've found the source.

This body and image have had the internet thirsting for dad bods for years. People repost it, declaring this is their ideal body goal. Others would shoot down the fantasy by explaining that this is the form of a weightlifter during a bulk. Some yell out to the void, "Source?", or "help me ID this hunk so that I may then spill much of my sexual fluids for him"

Regardless, I see it often on my feeds.

The first step, Google image search:

With how popular this image was, there were over a thousand hits. Good thing I'm patient, and am having a small mania.

It was interesting to see how most of it is quite recent. And then I would find hits from 3 years ago, then 5 years ago, then 7 years ago...

The absolute oldest hit though, was:

And just go on an archive dive comparing image numbers. I don't start getting close until I hit March 2014.

Then I find him in all his dad-glory.

The thread was asking about users' weight (and height) and asking opinions on what weight they should be.

The thread itself is kind of bleak to read. People post their height and weight, and 4chan comments what it comments.

The one and only reply dad-bod-anon got was:

Jeeze. Don't let the hater get you down, dad-bod anon. 11 years later, the dad-bod is the zeitgeist, and you're an ideal man-body desired and envied by all, me included.

And that's all that I got! 4 hours of my life well spent.
