This is the case for most of the "big" studios now. It's sad to see, really. I still check SC, Corbin Fisher, etc. once a week or so to see the updates and the pool of 'talent' is a puddle at this point. I have a theory that the rise of camming and OnlyFans etc. has had an impact, in that some guys figure they can profit from making their own solo content rather than working for a studio and having to do duo/threeway/whatever scenes with others.
It also the pay- with tube sites and video swapping so prevalent, they had less subscribers, which meant the huge sums places like Sean Cody, Randy Blu, and Corbin Fisher paid for that talent started dropping. It’s much easier to decide to make a few videos when they are offering you much larger sums of money. And back then, it was thousands, not including the travel.

It's also that back in the 2000s it was pretty conceivable that you could make some porn, have fun, get paid, and then go back to your life with no one finding out. So lots of regular guys would consider it. Now no one believes they will be able to stay private if they do something like that. It will follow you forever

Yup.
These days no way can you do porn and not get exposed.

I almost agree, but then I realized in actuality there are more men than ever cranking out nude videos these days. I could look at a hundred different new guys every week of the year there are so dang many. It's just that they're now on sites like Onlyfans, which I am sure is preferred for all the straight guys who wants gay dollars but don't want to go gay for pay. So now they probably make more money just by selling vids of them pulling their puds rather than flying out to studios like Sean Cody to film gay sex scenes they don't really want to do at all.

Exactly! Even guys who did porn in pre-internet age or Playgirl type photoshoots back in the day must be thinking "I never thought that one day you could key my name into a screen and find my porn work", etc. Now they're even developing AI (so I've heard) that can scan a face, and find everything you have online. You could run it over a porn vid and it would give you real names and links to every Facebook post, Twitter post, Wedding photos, High School year books, etc. Scary shit for the performers who want to remain private.

This is pretty much my feeling, too.
