My guess is they didn't have all the records for the early years so they just deleted everything.

This has been reported in the newspapers. The government is cracking down on porn sites that can’t show proof the models were of age and gave consent to be filmed.

They would have made sure the models were over 18 at the time they were filmed though. Well I can see some studios being sketchy and either not checking, or knowingly filming underage models and hiding it (like Brent Corrigan), but Sean Cody doesn't strike me as a "sketchy" site.
