At first glance it looks like it's a lot of steps, but their requirements are pretty basic. I imagine the guidelines were created to stop (or slow) a never ending flow of "but what about X?" questions.
Just look at a few verified members' pics after reading the FAQ if you're not sure. Some guys focus just on their penis, while others show their full torso, some include their face, but full frontal nudity is required if you're a guy. Women have slightly modified requirements.
