Well my actual birthday sucked ball-balls, and not in that horny-wife fun way. But thanks to a phone call to a friend and a little behind the curtains majik, the wife managed to put together something memorable for the following night!
We met this friend ( from here on I will call her Nookie) at a local eatery and just chatted while we ate. Once everyone had eaten, we departed for the hotel.

For the wife, I got some cosmetic blemishes to her Bug fixed..(this doesn't sound like a great gift unless you are of the Bug cult!) She was ecstatic with her baby being perfect again!. We got the kids new flat panel TVs that we caught on sale , a few games, a used console and new leather jackets with liners for the winter wear. The daughter received a new laptop and a used Rebel camera.
I myself received a Nook color!
I love it with a few minor issues.
It came with a defective power cord that makes it useless while charging.
It seems you also HAVE to use a credit card in order to lend and borrow books. Also the lend and borrow feature apparently relies heavily on overburdoned servers somewhere.. I have no idea really if this is in fact the reason that I cannot borrow or lend books on my particular nook....but it is what the guy at Barnes and Noble said... I have no way of verifying the validity of the statement until the servers calm down enough for me to actually try it again!.
For the next week we are visiting family back home and I have arranged to drop off the mother-in-law's car for new tires and a lifestyle date while we are waiting..Now to find a way to let the wife know why she needs to wear boots, skirt and a corset to the tire place lol!
Hopefuly things go well, because the couple we are meeting.......well the wife is...lets just say that she is aggressive, uninhibited and really likes me!!
