Did You Grow Up Where Male Nudity was Commonplace With Your Dad/Brothers/Uncles/Cousins?

I grew up in a conservative family and nudity was not a big deal. We’re a large family, six siblings and three of us are guys. We shared a bedroom so we dressed and undressed in front of each other, not a big deal. When camping we used the Men’s shower room together. In those days a campground shower room was one big room and all the men in the campground were openly nude showering together, all ages, all sizes, etc. Great for viewing but never a big deal. As excited as I get to see nude men in a locker room, it never occurred to me to think about it then…that the hot man 3 camp sites down…that I had seen him 10 minutes ago, washing his dick and balls. At the YMCA, again one big room for dressing, one big shower room, everyone naked and going about their business, great viewing especially when the swim team or polo team were there. I went to an all male school and all class levels were in each gym class so you saw a variety of guys, all nude at the lockers and one big shower room with shower stanchions down the center, when you showered you faced the guys across from you. All these situations where strangers had no problem getting naked and being together.

I grew up in a "YMCA family", on both sides of our families, for four generations. Being nude in the swimming pool's and gym locker rooms and in the group showers was no big deal... But, I sure did like it!

Same here man…loved it too!

My entire immediate & extended family lives within 5 miles, I'm from Cajun country (south-central Louisiana) in the bayou, its about 100F & 100% humidity most of the year. I'm 1 of 10 brothers & have about 50 male 1st cousins (Cajuns are so Catholic, we make the Pope look Presbyterian - no birth control, married by 18, 10 kids by 30).
Dressy casual for us is swimming trunks, wife-beater & flip-flops - maybe. By noon we'd already sweat through our clothes; & ended up tout nu comme un ver - stark naked. Either through necessity or just as a joke.
I can't begin to count how many nuns we have in the family & 1 was my teacher in school. She insulted me during recess - I stripped naked, told her to "bec mon tchu" ["kiss my ass"] & the entire class watched as I ran around the field bare-assed with a 65 year old nun in her robes & orthopedic shoes chasing after me with her 6 ft river cane in hand.

Less curiosity at the YMCA, more like uncontacted tribe on National Geographic.

My family has always been in the habit of open nudity. Everything from physical fitness to penis size have always been topics of discussion. And similarly to @Perfectsix's family, my dad's smaller size is the running joke, although he's the one doing most of the joking. We don't pick on him.

Coming from a family with an older brother and four younger sisters, nudity was definitely not something we did around the house. I am totally comfortable posting pictures here, changing in a locker room or in front of my wife, but that is about the extent of it. I definitely enjoy going commando and wearing as light a material fabric as I can so my shit is free to do whatever it wants while I am moving, but straight up nudity in front of people other in the above mentioned situations, no.

Another YMCA family here. Everyone saw everything. My parents divorced early and my brother and I grew up mostly in my dad’s household and we never thought about same sex nudity. This was true in my dad’s extended family too. Hunting and camping you’d get up with a boner and go piss on a tree next to whoever else just got up.

We just never thought about it. Looking back, it was wonderful.

I was very lucky to have grown up in a family surrounding where male nudity was in a proper perspective. My grandfather had a home with a pool which was often the site of business meetings for other men on hot summer days. Seeing a variety of mature male bodies- often swimming in a clothing optional [ not sexual oriented] way -so it was natural like in the early days of nude swimming in YMCA'S. Men - even student swim teams-generally swam nude publicly then with little sexual arousal observed. Oh that might happen with some but a cold pool dip helped solve the temporary situation. Anyway being in a non intimidated situation made for a healthy mindset development I now own that same home and have carried on the same casual clothing free environment among comfortable friends who enjoy the same freedom at practical times. No under legal age are involved or allowed. It is a totally adult experience which by the way can be non sexual! I feel lucky for the experiences as i developed a very healthy outlook on life.

I grew up with brothers and cousins very close in age. We all played sports and shared room etc. very common to see each other naked or walk in on each other. That’s all I’ll say in public so if people want more, HMU
You’ve got me hard…

Male Bonding!!! It’s GREAT!!! #androphile

Parents raised me naked so I was nude daily. Guys on both sides of my family are comfortable being nude together. I've seen them all nude and they have seen me. My dad set the tone early on and I was never shy being naked around people. All of us have showered together at gyms, shared bathrooms, and shared rooms and beds if visiting each other or sharing hotel rooms. Boners happen and we all have seen what the other has and so know where we all stand among each other. It's also the time dick jokes start flying. It's a comfortable relationship we all have that none of us are embarrassed and we talk openly about sex and share stories of our experienc

So great that you had the nudist "upbringing" that you had... Lucky, man!

Awesome!... You are fortunate for that!

I was mostly raised by my mother as my parents were not together. She was not open at all with nudity. In my late teen years she found a lover and wanted to move abroad. I really didn’t want to go, so we agreed I would try to life with my dad. Best decision ever. He turned out to be very relaxed and open. Told me everything I needed to know and was curious in a good way. Saw him naked in bathroom and even in the morning coming out of his bed.
Having a pc in my bedroom was allowed and I know for a fact he knew that I was watching porn too. He warned me to be careful with camming and not to trust everyone online. Those things were helpful and proofed he knew how the real world worked and how to get me prepared.
When I got my first boyfriend sleepovers were allowed. So I could discover things in the safety of my bedroom. Dad was very open and helpful with that too in trying to answer all I needed to know.

You were lucky to have such a cool Dad!

He wasn’t around when I was very young, but he made up for that.

Dad loved the bachelor lifestyle. Guess he was better as a friend then in raising me. He is very cool ever since. I love him.

Not commonplace but it wasn't taboo either.
We go around in underwear like it's nothing and it's been always like that, so we never rushed to cover if we found each other naked.
Now as adults you could say nudity is commonplace and it's definitely a bonding experience. One time i had to be my dad's nurse and help him with everything so all barriers went down after that. There wasn't many barriers at that point but you could say we were 80% comfortable with it and after that it became 100%. Now we are like friends

Very much so. I'm one of five brothers and we have seven other male cousins so we were always used to being around one another and not wearing much at all. We would have baths together, change together, all things like that. I remember when I moved into a flat with friends during Uni, one of my flat mates was an only child with no cousins and he was shocked at how casual I was with walking around in my underwear which I didn't even think about as that's just how things were in my house growing up.
