I'll be in NY from 7 September until 26 October. If you can't do it during that time don't worry about it... I'm sure you will have fun without me (but you would have more fun if you wait for me) I'll be back for Thanksgiving until New Years also.

I've never arranged one of these before; I've just attended.
Depending on the place sometimes Friday and Saturday night can be problematical because most places in NY are already packed full of people. One of the things that I've been trying to suggest and no one has been responsive so far is... at the LA Meet-N-Greet they meet Saturday or Sunday late afternoon around 4:00 ish. Most people are not working those days, the bars are less crowded because it's between shifts and I think more people might attend because it's not dark out and it might be less intimidating to some.
i think if we get there around 8/9 t shouldnt be too bad on a friday...places start getting pakced around 11
Sizequeenny is that ok with you? She mentioned wanting to do it a bit early just in case she had something else to do later in the evening. I had happy hour more in mind. If people decide to stay later that's up to them. Check out www.noideabar.com and submit your name for their name night. If your name is chosen you get to drink for free from 5-11.
That is fine, or the night before for a Thursday but the place you recommended is odd, they only have their own "brand" of vodka which is really well vodka and it is gross. Art Bar is on 8th Ave, four blocks below 14th St. They have good drinks, reasonable prices, there is a front room and back room. They don't have their own site though Art Bar - West Village - New York, NY
